Donald Trump Jr. and others criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for dismissing the rumors of a looming indictment of former President Donald Trump at the hands of leftist Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as a “manufactured” circus that he wants no involvement in, concluding that the governor is displaying “weakness.”
DeSantis weighed in on the news of the looming indictment during Monday’s press conference, stating that he is aware of the rumors of the indictment but has not seen any “facts” yet.

First, DeSantis is the only one actually taking on these rogue DAs. He fully understands what damage they do and has the boldness to do something about it. Trump gave us Sessions and Barr.
Second, DeSantis owes Trump NOTHING after the accusations Trump made about him. Giving a statement at all was more than gracious.
Third, there was no weakness in the statement. At this point anything said is just addressing a rumor.
The fact that there was so much hand wringing and hysteria, first about DeSantis being silent and now on his statement indicates he must be living rent free in a lot of Ever-Trump heads. You would think that Trump’s existence depends on DeSantis’ support and approval.
She said they didn’t have a relationship. Was she lying then or now?

Hmm. You’re probably right, considering some of the positions DeSantis has taken recently. I don’t do a whole lot of main stream media.
I guess I noticed the propaganda here. It was the same with the vax and with the Ukraine. Overnight groups of accounts with positions that were absolutely unmovable in the face of any evidence or principle expressed cropped up. No skepticism or common sense was applied, just absolute faith-based position.
I saw the same thing with some DeSantis supporters and ascertained this was the direction the state wanted nudge me in.
Coupled with the fact that Trump is the arch nemesis of the entire American Government apparatus, it fit.
And I believe it still does, I think the left wants to face anyone-but-Trump in this next election.
So that’s why I will support Trump in the primaries, and either in the general.
I don’t care so much if he calls people names, chews with his mouth open, wears too big a tie. I just don’t want to go to war, I want to be able to retire, I want to be able to drive my car and I want to hand over a wonderful place to my kids. I want America’s treasure spent on America and Americans. If I have to put up with some mean tweets in return for that.... so be it.
If he gets Kathy Griffith in the feels or makes Rosie O’Donnel cry... well, they have a nice enough life, I’m sure they’ll get over it. Why do we care about their feelings so much anyway? Chances are they probably started it!

I think the issue here is the potential arrest of a political candidate based on extremely dubious charges.
This is about as serious as it gets.
This is not about Trump, believe it or not. Every American and certainly every politician should instantly recognize this as a tremendously dangerous escalation in tyranny.
All politicians should say something in defense of our system of Government and the constitution.
You know, if this BS is allowed to stand, it will be the new standard. They will do the same to Ron when they want him out of the way.

Voted for Trump four times in 2016. If he's the candidate after the primaries I will vote for him. No guarantees in the primaries this time however.
Voted for him TWICE in 2016 and twice in 2020. (primary and generals)

I couldn’t agree more (except that I’m retired - but I fervently want to stay that way). He’ll continue to lose those who aren’t as tolerant of his lack of couth, but there’s probably no way to get their vote anyway; the one marginal group might be DeSantis supporters who may (foolishly) not vote for Trump because of his (IMO) childish attacks on DeSantis.
75% of that promotion has been by Trump. Trump acts like DeSantis is the fr4ont runner. The other 25% is by MSNBC and company.
When Bragg took over from the previous DA, he put the brakes on her plans to charge Trump?
