Trump supporters are pushing for a 'MAGA moat' around Mar-a-Lago to prevent the former president from being arrested as they demand that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis defy New York authorities and refuse to extradite Trump.
The ex-president had claimed on his Truth Social platform that he will likely be arrested on Tuesday on criminal charges related to payments he made to porn star Stormy Daniels.
He even urged his supporters to 'protest, protest, protest' as he raged online about the legal case, causing many to show up at his Florida estate with signs, banners and even their own boats.
Now, some MAGA conservatives are demanding that DeSantis refuse to extradite Trump to a 'Soros DA' until the Florida government can conduct its own investigation — with some even saying the governor should call in the Florida National Guard to protect Trump.
But so far, DeSantis has remained quiet about the potential arrest, even as other Republicans line up to denounce the possible indictment as an 'abuse of power.'
Among those calling for action are political commentator Mike Cernovich and radio host Stew Peters.
Cernovich, for his part, demanded that DeSantis refuse to extradite the former president, even offering a statement for the Florida governor to use.
'I will not extradite a presidential candidate to a Soros DA who allows violent criminals to roam free until there has been a proper legal review conducted under Florida law,' he offered. 'If lawful, then extradition may occur, but not one day sooner.'
Political strategist and former radio host Joey M. also tweeted 'if DeSantis signs that extradition request, his political career as we know it would be over. He’d be worse than Pence.

Court Revokes Governors’ Right to Deny Extradition 1987
The Supreme Court, overturning a Civil War-era decision, ruled Tuesday that governors must abide by federal court orders calling for the extradition of an accused criminal.
For more than 125 years, state governors have had the authority to ignore such extradition orders, as former California Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. did in the case of Indian activist Dennis Banks.
But in revoking an 1861 Supreme Court decision, the justices said in a unanimous opinion that extradition orders “afford no discretion” to governors.

Let’s stop the silliness over a (so far) mythical pending “planned” arrest of Trump.
Relax folks until something becomes REALITY.
The Daily Markle is milking this Trump Fund Raising Scam sort of like the last important announcement about the super heroes playing cards .
No US Governor is going to call out the National Guard based on a Rumor spread by the Accused or can legally prevent a extradition request.
The DM hits must be thru the roof by spreading this irrational misinformation .
Trumps Hooker hush money legal mess is a very sleazy event like Monica
thing that most families like to avoid.
Protect the airspace above Mar-A-Lago as well.
“… governors must abide by federal court orders calling for the extradition of an accused criminal.…”

Nothing related to this MYTHICAL IMPENDING ARREST is in ANY FEDERAL court.
So this is not any more real than the “Russians blew up the Nord Stream pipeline network” bull crap put out by the mainstream media,
What we need is a militia. You can’t trust the gubmint or any of their agencies.
“ Protect the airspace above Mar-A-Lago as well.”

And protect against the very, very real possibility of UNDERGROUND TUNNELING.
/Yes, it’s sarcasm obviously.
Already in place.

Does NY have any jurisdiction in FL?
“But in revoking an 1861 Supreme Court decision, the justices said in a unanimous opinion that extradition orders “afford no discretion” to governors.”
I laugh in the face of anyone who believes that that would stop the democrats if the shoe were on the other foot.
PBC sheriff Ric L. Bradshaw will have a say in any operation to arrest president Trump.

“MAGA supporters call for Gov. DeSantis to deploy National Guard to protect ex-president at Mar-a-Lago from possible arrest”
This isn’t the Babylon Bee......but it should be.
Oh good grief. Just beyond stupid.
You would go to a Federal court to request extradition.
The Extradition Clause in the US Constitution requires states, upon demand of another state, to deliver a fugitive from justice who has committed a "treason, felony or other crime" to the state from which the fugitive has fled. 18 U.S.C. § 3182 sets the process by which an executive of a state, district, or territory of the United States must arrest and turn over a fugitive from another state, district, or territory.
In a 1987 case, Puerto Rico v. Branstad, the court overruled Dennison, and held that the governor of the asylum state has no discretion in performing his or her duty to extradite, whether that duty arises under the Extradition Clause of the Constitution or under the Extradition Act (18 U.S.C. § 3182), and that a federal court may enforce the governor's duty to return the fugitive to the demanding state. There are only four grounds upon which the governor of the asylum state may deny another state's request for extradition:
the extradition documents facially are not in order;
the person has not been charged with a crime in the demanding state;
the person is not the person named in the extradition documents; or
the person is not a fugitive.
Interesting subject you brought up about families and what they want to avoid.
My turn.
Most parents like to avoid having their girl's school teacher smirking and drinking beers with their girls.
bragg is a big bag of cow sh##, useless black man an ol man Soros puppet. How does it feel to be a puppet of an old white man bragg?
I like DeSantis, but if he delivers up Trump, Ron can kiss whatever hopes he had for higher office away.
