Why the US dollar has become an at-risk currency

Everywhere you turn there’s chatter about the ongoing US economic sanctions against Russia. The Russian Central Bank, Russian banks, Russian companies, Russian oligarchs — and anyone caught helping them — have seen their fortunes entangled since Moscow invaded Ukraine just over a year ago.

From Davos to Aspen, American Treasury officials tout the unprecedented scale and scope of this powerful economic weapon.

And why not? The effort has been impressive. The US government task forces have beached scores of yachts, grounded planes, blocked hundreds of millions of dollars of central bank assets and cut Russian financial institutions off from the global SWIFT financial system.

Sanctions are an ancient game: in 432 B.C., Athens crushed its rival — Megara — by banning their traders from Athenian marketplaces.

But more than 100 countries haven’t signed on to those efforts. Which is why oil from the Urals still flows to Asia,Turkey and most of Africa, while grain stolen from Ukraine is winding up across the Black Sea in Russia.

"Why the US dollar has become an at-risk currency"

Reminds me of Standard & Poor's (S&P) and several other credit rating agencies lowering the U.S. credit rating from AAA to AA+ on August 5, 2011. Of course the same misadministration Bozos are back in charge of the economy.

The US blew up the Nordstream pipeline to ensure there wouldn’t be peace.

Pure unadulterated horseshit.

If the Marxist Muslim “globalist” coalition of the obamanites continue to make gains in their death to America agenda, then you might have a point.

Trumpisourlastchance :" It’s [the national debt]currently 124% and headed to 150% this decade and ascending higher after that.
If you add in liabilities, it’s near 800 percent.
No nation has every succeeded with debt levels like this."

When you have an administration that believes that it can 'tax and spend' its way out of debt,
and also provide unlimited and unsupervised printing of currency and money
you are sitting on a financial time bomb with a lit short fuse to oblivion.
Sooner or later, the financial end times will come due, and I'd hate to be the elected person holding that debt when it goes off.

Now, just imagine this national debt obligation under the control of an administration,
which also imposes the concept of of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC),
where the government determines who can buy and sell, and imposes a social credit score.
It is the pinnacle of social and political control.

Absolute PROPAGANDA, since most of the reason why the BRICS will soon pass the G7 is because the BRICS primarily do manufacturing and the G7 primarily does services.

...hmmm....hmmm...maybe it’s not propaganda?

Also, it’s been hinted on some cruise sites that global vaccine passports could be looming in a serious way.

Russia would only use a cease-fire to further consolidate its positions and replenish its forces to relaunch attacks on Ukraine at a later time, Kirby added.

Fine. Put a pause on it. Break up the game of chicken.

If you're attempting to say that anythings really competes at any level against Petrodollars then you'd be very wrong.

Yes, there is some non-dollar trading going on, but it's small, clunky, and completely disorganized - using a hodgepodge of different currencies that nobody else in the world trusts.

Not really. You are high hatting them due to your FR seniority. When you make a clown of yourself every day here. _______________”First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

"That is a silly graph. Most of the populatio in those countries is far below the poverty level. Its a graph of population not real GDP. India is the only BRICS country that is not melting down now."

So China doesn't have a GDP? Are you ridiculous?

China has a GDP. Its estimated by things like the number of products received by other countries. Electricity usage. Food Imports, etc. The reality is that China is a first world nation tucked inside a third world nation. Part of their GDP is production for the rest of the world. And part of their GDP is feeding over a billion people. Its that second one that is harder to estimate. Especially when the population numbers are thought to be over 100 million too high. And massive amount of their homes and factories are half built and crumbling. Its not the same as a first world GDP. The term product is not the same.
