Family Member of Jan. 6 Probe Victim Who Committed Suicide: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Wants ‘Nothing to Do’ with Jan. 6 Whistleblowers, ‘Ignores’ All Our Calls

A close family member of a victim who committed suicide under duress caused by the illegal and unconstitutional Jan. 6 probe is speaking out on the cold and callous behavior of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Matthew Perna committed suicide in March 2022 after being hit with a multitude of charges for peacefully protesting in and around the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. His aunt, Geni Perna stated in a recent interview that DeSantis ignores all of the calls from Jan. 6 whistleblowers who are speaking out against the injustices that are being perpetrated upon pro-MAGA patriots by the federal government.

“Ron DeSantis has nothing to do with any of the people from Florida, and there are more people in Florida than any other state who were arrested for Jan. 6, and he ignores every one of their calls. People are desperate,” Geni Perna said.

The clip posted on Twitter by journalist Laura Loomer can be seen here:

DeSantis has spoken publicly in favor of the Jan. 6 federal probe, refusing to give any comment to the contrary as the federal investigation has proven to be a Soviet-style witch hunt based on propaganda and deceit.
“I actually am glad to see some of these people being arrested from the DC thing because I think the prosecutions will really make a difference,” he said in 2021. “I think it was a really unfortunate thing.”

Additionally, DeSantis allowed Capitol police to come into Florida and set up an illegal spying operation on patriots in his state at the behest of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) without lifting a finger to stop them.

“I can tell you those Capitol Police, on the ground, that was a very difficult situation,” DeSantis said. “And they could have done it in a way that you would have had huge number of people die as a result of that.”

“I think those guys [Capitol Police] deserve a lot of credit in a situation like that, to be able to steer a huge mob of people away from doing a lot of other people harm, so good on them,” he added.

DeSantis made those comments after it was already widely recognized that a Capitol police officer executed Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt in cold blood.

It should come as no surprise that DeSantis is emerging as the establishment’s favorite presidential contender in 2024 considering his shameful comments regarding Jan. 6 and his utter lack of empathy or concern for the patriots whose rights were violated on that day and in the months since:

DeSantis’ stance on Jan. 6 is one of many red flags that make him unfit to be the presidential nominee in 2024. Trump is the only choice for Republicans.

I have a question. Besides the recently released ‘song’ by Trump and the Jan 6 political prisoners, where has he been all this time?

Taking care of his business, and attacking Republicans.

I haven't heard of Trump helping anyone on January 6th.

During a press conference, his wife thanked President Donald Trump for supporting her, her family, and the families of other J6 prisoners. She added that she has repeatedly called and left messages for her Governor, Ron DeSantis, in which she asked and begged for his help. “I’m from Florida. Nobody from Florida, Governor DeSantis hasn’t even reached out to us,” the prisoner’s wife told reporters during a press conference.

Trump ranted about election integrity but how much of his mega MAGA war chest has he spent to fund groups that are working to secure elections? And how much of it has gone to help those in J6 prison? Trump took the J6 bait and now his supporters are on the hook. He sure knows how to find you to ask for a donation, but funding the resistance he has trouble doing.

Now it’s DeSantis’ problem? SMH

Has Trump answered their calls?

Our government is corrupt & unjust. No person, party or organization has been able or willing to fight the powers holding J6 political prisoners. The AG, SCOTUS, lower courts, democrats, many republicans, major media & news continue to project anti J6 prisoner lies! Innocent citizens are rotting in prison and it seems no person or institution has the power to bring them justice.

Appeal to heaven! Pray for justice for our political prisoners!

Well, I mean, don’t you have DeSantis’ number? Doesn’t he ignore your calls as well?

And of course the governor of Florida has jurisdiction over these matters, doesn’t he?

The private numbers of high ranking public figures are readily available, aren’t they? You just call up DeSantis - I bet he ignores your call as well.

J6 is Trump’s mess to clean up, not DeSantis, who like most people, probably thought it was a horrible idea. Go bug Trump for help, since he invited them there, and basically abandoned them ever since. He never even made it to the Capitol like he promised.

How can Trump help them? He is not in power. He is just another citizen like you and me.
