So they're pushing for electric (tankless) water heaters and electric furnaces - at a time when California electricity generation is already over-burdened and blackouts in the Bay Area are already a thing.

This plan might make sense if the Bay Area was busy building multiple new nuclear reactors. As it is, it makes no sense at all.

Fully agreed. Nuclear has been our best option for a long time, but frightens too many. Time to move on from the yayhoos and get our electrical grid up to snuff. You know, like a First World civilization would do.

The only thing that might be beneficial is no fires from ruptured lines when the big one hits.

Sure it does. Think about it. They (Democrats) have NO intention of ever building infrastructure to support going all electric. That's why they don't talk about it. They will be able to keep electric prices sky high so folks will only be able to afford to use very little electricity. They will have complete control over where you go, what you do and it will be all be done for the cause of "climate change".
