Oil Price is down, domestic production is maintaining an output of >12 million barrels a day and with that, there will not be a rush to expand Alaska production.
Don’t underestimate the gullible stupid sheeples! He’ll sign a bill and as soon as he gets reelected, he’ll condemn the drilling and blame the republicans. The rats are notorious for promising the world, and once they’re reelected they pull the rug underneath the idiot sheeples.

The catch, as I understand it, is that there were five drilling locations proposed. That amount would allow for a profitable business venture. They're moving to allow three, the bare minimum to be worth moving forward with the project.
If they only allow two, the venture is a money loser and they won't build, but Biden can say he approved the project.
If they allow three, it can be billed as a huge success politically, and then if something happens later, it can be billed as a corporate greed problem, not a political one.
