Pence is one of those cases where Trump could have helped himself by self-censoring. Pence projects such a moralistic (prig) image that he gets support from a large number of conservatives. A more diplomatic statement of his disappointment in Pence would have helped Trump more, long-term. That opinion comes in spite of the fact that I never liked Pence and I adore Trump.
Trump said nothing that might have caused Pence to do what he did.
And no conservative supports Pence these days.
Pence isn’t exactly picking up support > IMO.
I also think we need to flash back to 2016 and the states
that held caucuses, where Cruz picked up all his support.
Those caucuses are run by the RNC/GOPe folks. If a poll
in one of those states shows Trump lagging, keep that in
mind.
I hated Pence just because of the look on his face when Trump was speaking. It was ominous. And Karen’s was worse.
Pence has zero credibility except among the GOPe and their hatred of first, Reaganism, the Tea Party, and now Trumpism means they embrace anyone against those two great Presidents and the movements they led and inspired. More so for Pence the Phony, it’s obvious he was lying about General Flynn and used his then squeaky clean as a weapon against the general.
