You may be right, but those folks are becoming pretty old to carry the weight of running a nation. The years are catching up to all of them.

Even if Putin lasts another 10 years, there may be another Putin waiting in the wings to seize power.

In the 90s, no one knew who was Putin. At the time, he was the deputy mayor of St. Petersburg.

Vlad was 51 when he took the helm in 2004. If he remains
another ten years, he’ll be 80.

There may be another strong man FSB type come up.

We just never know. If the powers that be really back Putin
right now, we may get a strong man. If they don’t, we may
be looking at someone more moderate.

I’m not convinced that everyone is a happy camper right
now. If some of the reports are true about his being
very cautious right now, he might agree.

Nations sometimes get off on a military tangent, and then
sour on that sort of thing. The pendulum may swing more
toward a moderate. We’ll see.

I think Trump would get things under control rather
quickly, diffuse the tensions between our nations.

I think he and the EU crowd need to address the WEF and
take those guys out.
