Clocks: Spring Forward and Never Fall Back Again?

I don’t have a problem with the change, especially since they went to an 8 to 4 month split from the 6/6 it used to be.
But if they’re going to cut out any clock change, then it seems the best thing is to keep Standard Time and cut out DST.

I spent nine years in Arizona which does not observe Daylight Savings Time. I know that the high heat makes that rule very practical but I got used to it and I wish that Standard Time is all we used nationwide. I don’t like kids at the morning bus stop in the dark.

Just leave the clock alone...

if you want an extra hour of daylight, then get up an hour earlier or go to bed an hour later...

It's only an hour, for pete's sake! ... and with computers and cellphones and thermostats and damn near everything else re-setting the time automatically, it's not even a big inconvenience anymore.

I do know of one big "inconvenience" here in California if we didn't set the clocks ahead in the Spring: From mid-May to mid-June it would start getting light at 3:30 a.m. ... a bit early in the morning if you ask me!

It is only an hour. That disrupts your circadian rythyms. Accidents increase substantially as do heart attacks following messing with time. It is hard on many people and an extremely stupid thing to do.

Only the government is stupid enough to think you can cut off a foot at the bottom of a blanket and sew it at the top and think you have a longer blanket.

I’m also retired and I do basically the same...I go when I want and get up when I have to...
