We Wouldn’t Need Tucker Carlson If The Jan. 6 Committee Hadn’t Put On A Partisan Show Trial
The Federalist ^ | March 9, 2023 | David Harsanyi

Thanks to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Fox News host Tucker Carlson now has access to more than 40,000 hours of unreleased surveillance video from the Jan. 6 riot. It’s created quite a bit of consternation and anger in the media.

Of course, if the Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack, handpicked by Nancy Pelosi, hadn’t withheld inconvenient evidence from the public in the first place, then McCarthy wouldn’t have had the chance to give the Fox News host anything. Republicans have Fox. The Jan. 6 committee has virtually every other outlet.

Mitch McConnell is also outraged by Carlson’s framing of the surveillance video. Perhaps if the Kentucky senator had voiced outrage when the committee handed unfettered access to a former producer of “Good Morning America” and “Nightline,” so he could create a slick, selectively edited program that made Jan. 6 look like the September Massacres of the French Revolution, we wouldn’t be here. It says a lot about McConnell that he’s more upset by a media personality sharing videos than he is about Chuck Schumer, a government official, demanding a private company censor journalism.

“I could take footage from World War II, find a little piece of it, and convince somebody it’s the moon landing,” former Jan. 6 committee member Adam Kinzinger told CNN’s Anderson Cooper last night. “There’s footage of soldiers [in Vietnam] at their bases hanging out in Saigon,” Cooper responded. “… You can take video of anybody in the course of a day.”

You can. And you can also take footage showing soldiers in Vietnam abusing civilians to create the perception that most servicemen abused civilians. The “mostly peaceful” formulation, typically used by liberals to whitewash leftist violence, is shameful. And so is the partisan fearmongering surrounding Jan. 6.

Show Trial? WTF you talking about? They openly conspired to LIE to the Congress and the American people in the largest Criminal Fraud case this country has ever seen. They were and are a Criminal Enterprise and should be Tried, Convicted and then Hanged on the Capitol Steps for their FELONY FRAUD. Every last person involved, every lawyer, judge, politician, maybe even the court clerks also....

It appears that the DEEP STATE PRICKS have gotten to Tucker on the release of any further videos on the staged “J6” “insurrection”.

I pray that I am wrong.

If not for republicans winning the house, we’d never known about the J6 coverup.

“Republicans have Fox.”

That’s all we have, which means that we are in big trouble given the fact that Murdoch despises the republican base just as much as McConnell does.

Mitch fell and received a concussion a couple days after his statement. You think God is trying to send him a message?

It certainly sounds like Fox is down on Tucker. I expect him to leave & launch his own site, like Mark Steyn & Glenn Beck. Or maybe go on Substack.

Wait, is Tucker pro-MAGA or anti-MAGA? Other Freepers told me he was boasting about voting for Kanye rather than Trump in 2020. Now he's the hero of the MAGA movement for releasing some footage of the tapes that should have been available to the American public from day one? Man, it is so hard to keep track of who's on our side and who's uniparty these days.

As if we ever needed him, or the low-life foreigners he works for.

How will what he's ever done change anything?

Some knuckle draggers might say "he's exposing the left"...

How? By giving them a national stage to spew their bile and call it "fair and balanced"

How's that working out for you?

Yes. We all knew about it but some had to see evidence.

And you shut the hell up. No need for you to have been rude. If you don’t want to be civil, I won’t either.

You haven’t been around here very long if you call that rude. Ironic, yes, sarcastic, maybe a little. Whatever. Your comment seemed a little naive. Sorry if I offended you bu pointing that out. I’ll shut up when I decide to.
