A recent college graduate in Utah was shot several times by police during a traffic stop in early March after officers allegedly saw him reaching for a gun, body camera video shows.
Farmington, Utah, police department officers stopped 25-year-old Chase Allan after seeing an illegitimate license plate on the BMW car he was driving at 3:22 p.m. on March 1. Police Chief Eric Johnsen released body camera video relating to the incident on Wednesday.
When the police officer told Allan that he was being stopped because there was no registration on the car, Allan said, "I don't need registration and I don't answer questions." The officer requested backup, and four other officers arrived at the scene.

A little searching and you would have found that the gun in question was on the passenger side floorboard, not in his hands.
It also turns out that his mother has a lawsuit against one of the officers who shot him, leading to a question of whether this was an intentional set up.
It’s really pathetic that on a forum called “Free Republic” you chortle and go down the line of a bunch of hyped up cops who may have been on a little mission. Funny how this doesn’t seem to happen to illegal aliens in Utah who drive with out of date registration or no tages at all. Just a White Anglo Saxon Protestant who has a different legal viewpoint then the rednecks with guns.
Maybe you two could get jobs writing copy for the SPLC or the ADL.
Yeah, not a lot of sympathy for the stupid.
Another “SOVEREIGN CITIZEN”.
SOVEREIGN CITIZENS
Totally agree.
FYI, I just saw the bodycam video of the encounter on YouTube. The driver was clearly holding his phone with his right hand videoing the officer and his left hand is visibly and stupidly fending off the officer’s attempt to begin removing him from the car when another officer suddenly gives the “gun, gun, gun” alarm followed by a volley of shots from multiple officers. Not exactly training class video of a proper avoidance of deadly force encounter.
