Senate confirms Biden’s IRS nominee Daniel Werfel

The Senate voted Thursday to confirm Daniel Werfel, the former acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, to lead the IRS.

He was approved on a bipartisan 54-42 vote.

Werfel’s confirmation to the agency comes after he was grilled by the Senate Committee on Finance last month on how he plans to utilize the money in new funding coming to the IRS over the next decade to revitalize the tax agency as taxpayers could see increased audit rates. Democrats approved the $80 billion for the agency last year when they approved the Inflation Reduction Act in a party-line vote. Democrats backed the funding in its bid to crack down on tax dodgers and to provide better services for taxpayers, arguing that the IRS could boost federal revenue by more than $100 billion over the 10-year time period if they collect more in taxes...

Only CNN could refer to the confirmation as “..... He was approved on a bipartisan 54-42 vote....” 52 to 42 is not what I would call broad bipartisan support for this agency head.

Manchin voted against him.

Those voting for him included the usual suspects ...
Bill Cassidy (R-La.)
Susan Collins (R-Maine)
Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa)
Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)
Thom Tillis (R-N.C.)
Todd Young (R-Ind.)

And the Republican traitors are again:

Cassidy (LA)
Collins (ME)
Grassley (IA)
Tillis (NC)
Young (IN)

with the following not voting:
McConnell (KY)
Risch (ID)

96 total votes.
No Senator Vegetable
No Senator Frankenfeinstein

I’m going to guess: Collins, Murkowski, Pierre Delecto, Miss Lindsey, Cassidy. Not sure who the 2 wild card losers are.

Ah, my guess was close. Not sure how I could have ever forgotten Tillis. Young and Grassley were not on my RINO Bingo card, but I’m not really surprised.

The use of Bi-partisanship means... along the lines of the J6 Pelosi-Cheney Committee, and now the Uni-Globalist-Party of Rs & Ds that have taken over the USA, its governance, all fed departments and national institutions, such as academia, medicine & research, religion, etc. etc. etc.

Can we take bets on who will be audited? I’m betting those who have around 100,000 per year or less.

"No, Senator. The taxpayers will not see increased audit rates. That is just a pernicious myth! The money will go into the pockets of Democrats, just as it was planned from day one."

Just more proof that:
The tenacity of our benevolent communist rulers in imposing more & more tyranny is unmatched by those seeking (supposedly) to protect our Constitutional freedoms & liberties...

Add to that, the usual GOP circle jerk in the House where those turds are spinning wheels and tilting at nonsensical windmills...

What did anybody with half a brain expect?
The normal GOP circle jerk took about 3-day to get underway...
GOP history of the past 60 years (except most issues related to the SCOTUS) is one of ineptness, surrender, & deceit...

At least, during such periods, the communists only get 60% of their nefarious schemes into law or regulation...
