Ukraine said Tuesday it had identified a soldier shot dead in a video that circulated widely across social media, sparking outrage and spurring officials to call for a probe.
"According to preliminary data, the deceased is a serviceman of the 30th separate mechanised brigade, Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura," the Ukrainian land forces said on Telegram, adding he had been missing since February 3 amid fighting in eastern Ukraine.

Assuming that this is true as presented, the reality is that war is hell, and until there is a negotiated settlement, this will continue. It shouldn’t happen, but it does, and there could be an opportunity to prosecute this after the war.

Snake, so they were taunting him? What were they saying? Have you seen the entire video or just the CLIP shown?
As a general observation, persons who commit this sort of act (or in my direct observations some years ago, bouncers who simply liked to beat up people) are often prone to openly bragging about it.

The Ukrainian Army now confirms that the name of the Ukrainian POW brutally murdered on film by Russian troops after saying “Glory to Ukraine” is not Timofey Shadura after all.
The victim is Oleksandr Matsievsky of the 119th separate brigade, murdered in Soledar.
