Ukraine said Tuesday it had identified a soldier shot dead in a video that circulated widely across social media, sparking outrage and spurring officials to call for a probe.

"According to preliminary data, the deceased is a serviceman of the 30th separate mechanised brigade, Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura," the Ukrainian land forces said on Telegram, adding he had been missing since February 3 amid fighting in eastern Ukraine.

A satellite image of Bucha in Ukraine appears to show bodies lying in the street nearly two weeks before the Russians left the town.

"The image from 19 March, first reported by the New York Times and confirmed by the BBC, directly contradicts Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's claim that footage of bodies in Bucha, that has emerged in recent days, was "staged" after the Russians withdrew.

The satellite image shows objects that appear to be bodies in the exact locations where they were subsequently found by Ukrainian forces when they regained control of the town north of Kyiv.

Along another section of the road, the image shows what appear to be more bodies on the ground."

You Russian apologists are ridiculous. Witnesses, saw their relatives taken away by Russian soldiers, some were executed right in front of their eyes. CCTV recorded Russians taking away civilians, also shooting civilians. Satellite images showed the bodies lying there during occupation. Drone footage shows bodies during occupation. Russian soldiers were using dead civilians phones to call relatives, right after the executions.

The Ukrainian Army confirms that the Ukrainian POW murdered by the Russians on film is Timofey Shadura.

He has been missing since February 3rd.

Some have pointed out, not here, but other places how things that worked before are being restaged. Context also means everything as you said.

Hollywood stages executions all the time in movies. They look real. I can’t say for sure if this is real, but I can’t imagine a Russian documenting this and releasing it. So far most of the stuff that comes out of that place from the Zelensky side has been made up and staged. Keep in mind Hollywood creatures show up there quite often,
