Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has issued a statement in response to a new Tennessee law banning drag shows and other “adult cabaret” performances on public properties and other places where they could be seen by minors. The festival promised to continue being a welcoming safe space for “people of all walks of life.”
“Bonnaroo has and always will be a place for inclusivity, a safe haven for people of all walks of life, and a champion of self-expression,” festival organizers said in the statement. “Rest assured The Farm will remain a sanctuary for those freedoms and Bonnaroovians will see no changes in programming or celebration of self-expression at the festival.”

Definitely not a safe space for little kids.
Calling all vigilantes…
Inclusive of pedophiles and groomers.
Or conservatives.
Eastman Chemical, Citi, and Astroglide have announced sponsorship of this year’s ‘Tri-Pride’ festival in Johnson City later this year. There are ALWAYS drag queens AND children present. What happens this year?
Hey bonea-roosters, phu cough!
Bonnaroo is funny.
The TN Highway Patrol makes a good bit of revenue.
Is it along the lines of The Folsom Street Fair?
“DEMS KEEP PUSHING THE LIMITS: ‘SO, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?”
An excellent piece at Powerline on this very issue. Stand up and oppose this frontal assault on our culture, morality, and freedom.

I have been to Bonnaroo twice (2012 & 2013) and it is a great event. Even without perverted transvestites back the. it is was a place to bring your children. When I went about 1 in 6 of the women went topless - even the ones who shouldn’t. I enjoyed it all but it isn’t a place for children.
America was a better place back when sodomy was illegal.
Even in ‘87 Johnson City was well known for being a gay haven in the south. I know because I sold bibles door to door in ‘87 and we would drive there in the weekends to drink until 4 AM.
These fools with foolish remarks. This is about exposing children to adult content and not about champion of self-expression in front of children!
Remember, they’re not drag queens, they’re groomer clowns in womanface.
I’ve never been to either, but I’ve seen Zombie’s report on The Folsom Street Fair, and I can’t imagine that Bonnaroo comes anywhere close to that level of depravity. Like at least 2 quantum leaps away, I expect.
I didn’t get what Bonnaroo’s statement had to do with Tennessee bill. Has Bonnaroo ever been held in Tennessee? I thought it was held in California.
I’m mixed on this one
Bonaroo ain’t quite the bacchanalia of Burning Man or Key West Fantasy Fest
It’s fairly tame sexual deviancy wise
Boobs with pasties maybe some nudity
Drugs of course
I support the law and common sense
Very few kids there I’ve seen
Not even remotely close
Outdoor music fest going on two decades
