The city of Portland will no longer have any more Walmart stores.
At the end of March, all Walmart stores within Portland’s city limits will officially close.
In statement Walmart revealed “The decision to close these stores was made after a careful review of their overall performance. We consider many factors, including current and projected financial performance, location, population and customer needs.”
Portland has been the center of ANTIFA and BLM terrorism over the last several years.
People who live near the stores that are closing say the closure is going to have a big impact on them and low-income shoppers.
“Safeway is the go-to-store if I have to but that’s three times the price I would spend here,” Amanda Pahl said. “What are we going to do? You got to go further, then you have to spend gas money. Might as well pay for it at Safeway at this point.”
According to a Walmart spokesperson, pharmacy staff will work with customers to transfer their prescriptions to other locations before that date.

Learn to vote better, morons.
San Francisco was a Republican city the first half of the 20th Century, with many Federal and military assets. All chased away by the liberal Democrats who invaded in the late 1960’s and later. I remember my Dad taking me to the Presidio for supplies. Also on visits to the National Guard Armory in the middle of the city, took up an entire city block, full of military vehicles, and he sometimes brought a Army Jeep home in front of our home. Also visits to Hunters Point Naval Shipyard with much activity on ships. Also to Treasure Island Naval Base, as well as going to his office at Alameda Naval Air Station. All of that disappeared over the last 50 years as Democrats chased out the military. I would welcome a return of military assets to San Francisco.
And the 13 counties east of the Cascades will soon join Idaho for sane governance, economic growth, prosperity, and freedom.
The huge Walmart in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is like that — very clean, very friendly, nice people, well-stocked (not much locked up). People want to keep it that way.
ONE guy was camping in a city park a month ago and everybody got up in arms and I assume the police routed him back to Washington state. We have low tolerance for this crap.
But, on our local “NextDoor” app, there are maybe 5% to 10% of people who just do not get it. They don’t understand how the homeless cancer spreads and grows (and can do that very quickly). The other 90% to 95% of people set the bleeding hearts right very quickly and point to the failed Portland, Seattle, San Fran and LA examples. But still they argue for compassion not knowing what would be just around the corner if it grows.
Lying liars who lie. They’re closing the stores because the people that they support are creating an environment where they cannot do business.
A fine post! Couldn’t agree more. I like the idea of revoking statehood and reverting them to territories. But it’s a pipe dream.
They mentioned Safeway in the article. Safeway will be the next to go. Most crime is committed locally.
From orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Funny, I have been saying for years that California should have statehood rescinded and become a territory, maybe we can get some adults to clean it up.
No problem. The city council will just pass a law that says they can’t close. This approach has worked with all their other problems. Why won’t it work in this case?
I enjoy threads like this when folks post anecdotes about their (mostly rural) areas where the urban insanity is something we only read about.
That’s not meant to sound smug, but hopefully our areas can maintain the status quo for at least the next few years of life I hopefully have left.
Thing is, there’s just way too many cows and corn and shotguns around here to be attractive to the gibsmedat crowd.
You have to be really screwed up for Walmart to pullout
Good job libtards
They will be anchor tenants in Trump’s new cities.
Can’t the mayor of Portland prosecute them for this?
BLMS. Burn loot murder and shoplift
Now the Left will play the “supply desert” game, where they
blame the right for no services in low income communities.
They won’t own up to the fact their polices drove businesses
out of these areas.
Nobody is coming back in either. You can take that to the
bank.
Safeway will be next. Good luck then Lefties.
It’s only 2 stores. Still, big box blight is a thing.
“Now they’ll have to travel further away to pillage and shoplift.”
Not to mention the inventory of bats, helmets, chain, cheap knives, facemasks, goggles, all of it.
One stop shopping/looting/or arming up.
I had the Aberdeen WA nextdoor acct - just the opposite, youd get get chewed out for speaking ill of those poor homeless folks.
Also posts of thefts are an everyday thing, some people know the answer but the rational are outnumbered by the foolish.
And that’s the reason we in North Idaho keep getting refugees from the SeaTac area, Portland, California, etc.
