After Biden made his announcement to support the resolution during lunch, he tweeted, "I support D.C. Statehood and home-rule – but I don’t support some of the changes D.C. Council put forward over the Mayor’s objections – such as lowering penalties for carjackings. If the Senate votes to overturn what D.C. Council did – I’ll sign it."

there's a lot going on in DC these days.

though not getting much ink, it has been tossed out there that DC wants to allow non USA residents the right to vote in DC elections

(all the while FJB is promoting DC statehood)

my question is this: If jury pools are based on the voter rolls, then wouldn't this allow NON CITIZENS to set on “a jury of their peers” in DC courts???

after watching the DC courts in action during the J6 gulag and DC GJ abuses, this is crazy.

like the transfer of health emergencies to the WHO, this will only make things much worse for USA sovereignty, IMO.

Standing with the “Soros mentality” is the kiss of death for a national election. Looks like Biden is planning on running.

But they don’t feel betrayed over abandoning Americans and weaponry in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile in Florida, a 17-year old thug is sitting in jail unable to make one million dollar bail for trying to beat to death a school employee (as of yesterday).

Until we get courageous, and focused, leadership at the national level like Florida has bad things will continue to grow like a windblown fire.

There is a long way to go to get back to normal but it starts with push-back, push-back, push-back.

The biggest mistake this country can make is to make that Rathole, Washington D.C. a state. That is the real threat to the Republic and even the RATS’ “democrazy”. If the District of Corruption is given statehood, EVERYTHING involving the nation’s capitol would have to be moved to a neutral location. Probably an abandoned island off the coast of Florida.

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of Government of the United States

I’ve always taken the above to mean that any law made by the DC council requires positive approval by the Congress. If that fails to happen the law is void no matter what the President does.

Appalling for a Democrat to oppose crime. What will their constituents think?

So Biden is having a Sistah Souljah moment to pander to Law & Order voters because he can harvest Pro-Crime ballots anyway. Could mean he intend to run, or might be just keeping his options open.

Biden is for DC Statehood, but sees that the DC government is incapable of responsible government. Wouldn’t DC Statehood require a ratified Constitutional Amendment? Ain’t happening.

***If jury pools are based on the voter rolls, then wouldn't this allow NON CITIZENS to set on “a jury of their peers” in DC courts?***

Making D.C. a state is unconstitutional! It is specifically designated a federal territory so that no regional or local govt would have some measure of control over the federal government. What would happen if one party could deny access to those of the opposite party? ...anything like that?

The question is: will SCOTUS recognize this identity... this restriction?

“It came as a shock to 173 House Democrats who voted for the bill in accordance with their belief that Biden was planning to veto the resolution, not sign it.”

This from the Fox article.

Is it weird that these 173 dims voted in favor of it if they didn’t want it passed? Couldn’t they just vote against it?
