Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) failed to answer whether he still identifies as a Democrat on this week’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
Manchin said, “My main concern is how do we bring this country together? How do we make it work? How do we make Democrats, Republicans become Americans again and not just party affiliates? This is what’s happening right now. We’re pushing people further apart, making people take a side and rewarding for bad behavior.”

What I’ve noticed about political ads is, a Republican says he’s a Republican. A Democrat does not use the party’s name on his literature.

Manchin “positioning himself” to be both a very dark horse contender\player for the Rat P\VP nomination and to run for reelection in WV.
Assuming that this is an honest question and not some political puffola, let's try an answer.
In order to make Democrats into Americans again, they would have to abandon their love of wokeism, Marxism, burgeoning government agencies, and environmentalism, and be willing to support policies that best promote the black family, traditional education for all minorities and the working class, removal of all required promotion of LGBTQ+ activities, and support for law enforcement and criminal justice alongside assurance of the least amount of corruption in either.
In order to make Republicans into Americans again, they would have to abandon their love of globalism, marcantilism, corporate greed, and environmentalism, and be willing to support policies that best promote local solutions to local social issues, private choice in education at all levels, removal of all required promotion of LGBTQ+ activities, and support for law enforcement and criminal justice alongside assurance of the least amount of corruption in either. (Yes, environmentalism and those last two are the same for both parties.)
All the other political issues, including SSA, defense, health care, means of taxation, etc., are all open to compromise, if the parties were to change as suggested above. To the extent that they don't change, it will be impossible to come to any agreement on any other issues.
