This morning explosions have occurred near the Machulishchy air base in Belarus. As a result, Russia’s A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft might have been hit.

Yes, apparently there are only seven of these A-50U with the eighth scheduled to be delivered this year. Now there are only six.
Ya gotta put’em in chains first.
Who’s gonna do that?
Zelinsky,Biden or maybe you.
Go make a citizens arrest Gomer, impress us all!
“Who’s gonna do that?”
My money is on one of his own people.

I don’t mean to be argumentative, but hoping for the demise or removal of your opponent is not much of a strategy.
Beyond the current situation, I’m having a hard time thinking of a war that stopped because of the death or overthrow of a leader. Can you? Even if the plot had been successful, I don’t think the plotters against Hitler weren’t advocating Germany’s surrender. I just can’t think of a case of a nation in recent history that has reacted that way, by stopping a war.
From what I have read, most of the leading figures in Russian politics are more bellicose than Putin, at least in public and their ascendance would most likely lead to a longer and potentially larger war, not less.
And if we’re speculating, I would think it’s fair to say that the removal of the Ukrainian leadership would have a greater effect and would more likely to lead to a negotiated peace.
Short of nuclear war, why would we hit a target like that which would kill 40-200 million (think those are the estimates I saw) Chinese people? These are not CCP members either (less than 1% of their population) so if you wanted to motivate an entire nation or elevate a conflict into nuclear war that is what you would strike. One attack that could kill more human beings than WWII.
You can cut their electrical power quite effectively by hitting the switching yard(s) with the large transformers and this would take a lot of their other power plants offline. The dam produces about 8-15% of Chinese electricity needs if memory serves (depending on the season). It would not be a difficult target to strike and all you have to do is puncture the transformers and it would take a long time to get it back up and running (much like ours).
There are two China’s. There is Xi’s CCP China which is less than 7% of the nation (their elites -but really it is less than 1% who count) and then their is the rest of China (over a billion people) and most of them are just like us - they just want to live their lives in peace. I have nothing against the Chinese people and certainly do not want to kill a billion human beings because Xi wants to dominate the world. Most people belong to the CCP because it is good business - they are not nearly as diehard as our radical academics are about communism.
People wanted George Bush to be tried as a war criminal for what happened in Iraq. People wanted Trump tried for killing that Iranian General. Lots of folks wanted to get Obama for his drone strikes. But Nothing happened. To put Putin in the Dock in Holland would be a challenge—you would need to capture him, invade, and them set up a way to put him in a courtroom — In a WORLD THAT WAS BLASED TO BITS AND RADIOACTIVE! There May not even be a Holland after the Tsar Bomb goes off. Holland would exist, like England, only in History books read in South America. Same could happen in the USA. Yes, lets punish Putin with war crimes and other stupid ideas.
It wouldn’t be my first choice, but Japan or free China faced with their extinction... morality becomes unclear.
Putin will be killed by his own people soon enough.

The judges and accusers at Nuremberg were the winning party. In order to judge Putin, he has to be defeated first. That has not happened.
So the first step of involvement of Belarus is done.
Since Belarus is technically not a part of the war, do you think Poland is a legitimate target after this hit?
I think Zelenshyy will be killed by his own people before Putin is tossed out A WINDOW. Lot of things are going to change in the next three months. I think Biden will go before before the two of them.
“Lot of things are going to change in the next three months.”
You people have been saying that for a year. Putin was supposed to be dancing a jig in Kiev last July. Instead his military is being bled white by the arguably 2nd most corrupt nation in that part of the world.
Russia being the most corrupt, of course.
L
The best thing for Belarus is to
1. Get rid of Sasha
2. For now declare armed neutrality and kick out Russian troops while stating categorically that they will not allow any foreign troops any access across Belarussian territory
3. Wait for Putin to fall
“Since Belarus is technically not a part of the war, do you think Poland is a legitimate target after this hit?”
Absolutely.
"Steinerov's assault will take care of it."
