I used to live in Los Gatos and loved it there. The housing division that I lived in was built in the 1950s. Actually my house was built in 1949 and when that division was built It was illegal to sell to a Japanese person or to have a Japanese person live there. Because of World War II, of course.

Actually, the Japanese were discriminated against in California even before the war. There was a long-standing anti-Asian sentiment. Perhaps reparations are in order...
