As a woman, I have never been comfortable with female preachers.

More often than not, they come down on the touchy-feely side of things and are not warriors for God.

We need more warriors in the pulpit.

No. Stuck in believing the Bible.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 1 Tim 2:12

The small SBC I attend is about as conservative as it can get. But women, teach Sunday School classes, serve on the board of directors and various other committees. We have an assistant woman choir director. They will give their testimonies if led by the Lord, but the pastor and assistant pastor are men as are the deacons.

God hasn’t changed, his Word is constant. Man wants to add, take away, nuance what they think is God’s desires to meet the ever changing desires of a world that is devolving morally every day into a morass of evil, they want to be their own god.

I had a female friend who is a liberal who attended this church and when the supreme court arbitrarily declared gay marriage was going to be accepted by the government and society she assumed love won according to her. The pastor made it clear, man can and will change to accommodate their evil but God doesn’t change and we wouldn’t go along with SCOTUS or the social clubs pretending to be churches. She was aghast and angry. I said what did you think would happen, that the church would say, yeah God was wrong, man was right about the homosexual agenda? She told her husband they were leaving the church and both are quite miserable but they practice their own version of church where she is the god of the house that decides what is right and wrong.

Rather, faithful to what the Creator ordained from the beginning, and only affirmed since. No contraception either. nor woman's lib that it fostered, but neither treating the women as chattel.
