More precisely, he says that Russia isn't a great threat to America but that China is, our open borders are a threat, and Ukraine doesn't deserve a blank check from American taxpayers.

He's not wrong. I don't see Russia threatening America (it's entirely the other way around) but I look up in the sky and there's Chinese spy balloons over my head.

But I get it. You're going to criticize DeSantis. You don't like him. He's making Trump look weak and ineffectual and this troubles you.

Reading the article with that title, it seems what he said was that Russia was in no position to be a threat to NATO countries. I think "pushover" was added by the headline writer.
