Some of us are business owners ourselves and were keeping a close eye on all of these mandates and restrictions from the start. In an environment where a nation of pathetic sheep -- including lots of them right here on this website that calls itself FREE Republic -- were clamoring for the Federal government to "do something" even though it had no legal power to do much at all, Trump did exactly what I expected him to do (and I said so right here on FR many times in the spring of 2020).
None of those "guidelines" had any force of law. I made a point of doing business as if no restrictions were in place, despite all kinds of scolding from a bunch of losers right here on FR. And my company had the best year ever in 2020 -- and did even better in 2021.
The governors and mayors who imposed those restrictions and lockdowns -- along with the business leaders who were complicit in that fiasco -- own that sh!t from top to bottom.
By late 2021 I had relocated my home and business to protect myself from totalitarian government restrictions. And I didn't have to leave the U.S. to do it.
No he's not.
EVERYONE knows Trump instituted the NATIONWIDE lockdowns with his "Two weeks to flatten the curve" lie.
Trying to blame DeSantis now is Alinsky 101.
Tell that to the small business owners who were threatened, harassed, arrested, and even had their businesses closed by those states, using Trump's CDC "guidelines" as the ultimate authority.

Well, bully for you! But if you were in Pennsylvania where I live and own my business, doing so would have landed me and my employees in jail, courtesy of King Wolf, since we were declared a "non-essential" business.

Sorry, but it was Trump who enabled tyrants like Wolf, Cuomo, and Witmer to invoke their "emergency powers" via CDC guidelines and impose their totalitarian dictates on us.
Trump can't pass the buck on that one.
