He had no business running. It is my understanding (I could be wrong) that under PA law, the governor gets to appoint a replacement if a senator resigns or croaks. His wife obviously has her beady-little-eyes (one word) on his seat. She’s probably the one who induced him to run. I seriously doubt that Governor Shapiro has any intention of enabling that unctuous schemer.
