Senior Biden official says the US can't keep doing 'anything and everything' for Ukraine in the war: The Washington Post

Ukraine's leaders have been told that aid from the US may not last forever, an official from President Joe Biden's administration told The Washington Post this week.

The senior official told The Post the Biden administration has a "very strong view" that continually approving large aid packages for Ukraine will be difficult with a Republican-led House.

"We will continue to try to impress upon them that we can't do anything and everything forever," said the official, referring to conversations the administration's staffers have had with Ukraine's leaders. The official was granted anonymity by The Post to talk about sensitive foreign policy matters.

Biden said during his State of the Union address on February 7 that the US will support Ukraine for "as long as it takes." But the senior official told The Post that Biden's undertaking did not "pertain to the amount of assistance" that the US might give Ukraine in the future.

Speaking to The Post anonymously, several administration officials also said they have told Ukraine's government that now — while the US and other allies are still sending economic and military aid — is Ukraine's best chance to launch a full offensive against Russia, to try to turn the tide of the war.

The Post's report comes amid news reports that Russia may be launching a renewed assault on Ukraine. The BBC reported that Russia is attempting to capture the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut before the first anniversary of the Ukraine war on February 24.

The Republicans want it funded unlimited forever.

So, Biden’s WH gives them all the Ukraine money and they include Billions upon Billions for Big Cities funding crazy woke crap, and Leftist Goodies that will change the country.

The Republicans say they didn’t have time to read the Bills.

The bottom line - the Money Spigot will be on for years.

And Ukraine will have to be rebuilt. Who do you think is paying for that?

European tribal wars have become both terrible and globe-spanning because technology and economics has permitted such an escalation of the means and capacity of war.

In the old days one could have a huge war of multiple coalitions, like the war of the Spanish succession, the Seven Years War, and the Napoleonic wars, etc. Each was more “global” than the last.

And so here we are. The post WW2 rule was to prevent wars by guarantees of security and sovereignty.

“With 2/3 of Republicans supporting trading Ukrainian land for peace, the GOP House will cut the legs out from under Ukraine.”

The Republican in the House and Senate will normally do what benefits them personally. Usually that means they will do the bidding of the big donors. Where do the big donors stand on Ukraine today?

“Senior Biden official” — Likely a Biden Cabinet official or General who is ready to jump ship from this administration.

I hope all this is to dispel Zelensky’s unrealistic expectations that he is going to get Russia to cede territory they have taken in the two Russian provinces and Crimea while he bleeds us dry and he needs to get to the conference table with Russia.

There are NOT two Russian provinces in the Donbas. Russian speakers are not Russians. That is why there are thousands of Ukrainians from the Donbas that are fighting to free their hometowns from the criminal Russians, Mohammedans, and Buryats, Death to the invaders! Glory to Ukraine!

It bears repeating that the Ukranian cabinet that NATO and the EU worships largely consists of the cast of actors, writers and producers the popular TV comedy show “Servant of the People.” which in turn was created by the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky. Imagine if the US government was swept away in a coup and replaced by the staff of SNL or the Daily Show.
