Signs of unrest surfaced almost immediately after the team's 38-35 defeat Sunday night - with disgruntled fans swarming City Hall and clashing with cops that had been stationed throughout the city in case of such an outcome.
Police scanner audio since 10:30pm suggested police had made multiple arrests, as citizens were seen scaling lampposts, chanting 'f*** the Chiefs', and hurling glass bottles throughout the city's Downtown neighborhood.
Footage circulating on social media also shows several residents lighting fireworks, with others egging on armed SWAT teams tasked with keeping the piece.
In one shocking clip, a group of Philadelphians are seen lighting fireworks, with some reports indicating the explosives are being thrown at officers.
Cops were using tear gas to deter any further disruptions, after a crushing defeat highlighted by game-altering penalties.
The loss is compounded by the fact the city's baseball team, the Phillies, similarly crashed out of the World Series just a few months ago.

I have a solution. And it’s simple. Impose a television blackout on any city in which the fans behave this way. I’m open to discussion, but let’s start at the draconian end: black out all games, home and away, for the entire next season. For a second offense, make it a three year blackout. This kind of nonsense starts when crowds, which soon become drunken crowds, gather to watch the games in large groups. The sports bars eventually into the streets. Black out the TVs.

I saw a story about the "Santa Claus Game" a number of years ago (I think on ESPN.) The guy who was supposed to play Santa called in and said he couldn't make it because of the weather. They looked around and spotted a fan in the stands who happened to wear a Santa suit to the game. They brought him down, gave him 50 bucks, and told him to sling an equipment bag over his shoulder and wave to the fans. They soon began pelting him with snowballs. If the original Santa had shown up, this guy probably would have been throwing snowballs also.
As if who won the game had anything to do with it...

You see, this is just what happens when you have unequal outcomes—the people of Philthadelphia have a right to be champions, and until the Oppressive Powers of Whiteness give them a trophy, there will be trouble in the streets.
