These balloons or whatever else they are sending are evidence of hostile intent and stopping them is important - but they are a very, very unlikely means of biological attack.
Before we have to kill a billion of anything, it’s time to call in Mr. Ambassador and tell him that this is an act of war and that the bases sending these things wil be destroyed in 48 hours unless it stops.

I’m of the opinion that bad things are brewing on a global level in multiple avenues.
I was involved in a serious smallpox defense exercise in 2002. The premise was infect ten men in the Middle East, fly to Montreal, get on a bus to Florida, one guy gets off every 200 miles, in NY, Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, etc.
30 million dead, minimum.
The balloons are very dangerous because they are human directed, entering our airspace with unknown intent, and more are on the way in response to our reaction to the first one.
We have to stop them right now - but not because of germs.
I’m an Infectous disease MD with no intel connection (except what people tell me). I think about things - and I’m a good thinker.
And I would say I HOPE things are going on behind the scenes - but I lack confidence in the thinking skills of the people in charge - and I don’t believe that includes Biden. The Administration and upper levels at the big building across the river are infected with people who have a fantasy view of the world and their role in it, they believe that if the BELIEVE hard enough that the world will be as they FEEL it should be.
The international situation is deteriorating fast, and we need better people to run our show.

Do you realize how many people in our government and our military couldn’t imagine another Pearl Harbor coming, because their internationalist fantasies have overwhelmed any thinking abilities they once had?
People my age were brought up on Pearl Harbor and Iwo Jima. The people in charge were brought up on Granada and Panama. They invaded Iraq after being allowed to marshal a huge army in Kuwait and KSA against no opposition, and they allowed our “ally” Turkey to block passage of the 4th armored division - and still considered them an ally.
Our allies against Japan sent battleships and aircraft carriers ten thousand miles away from home to help us. Our 2023 “allies” tell us what to do.
It’s ridiculous.

I don’t know anything about military affairs, we have lots of experts here.
But I read a lot. If I was going to do Taiwan (and they are going to do Taiwan) - I would consider a multi-modality attack to disable or interfere with a possible US response - without killing any civilians.
EMP + ballons carrying electronic packages to block our comms would do the trick. If those ballon payloads are more sophisticated than anything we can do - and they may be - then the EMP may not even be necessary.
I’m going to miss the carriers, though.

But China may go to war with - not Biden, he’s of no importance - but with us.
Since I was two weeks old, we have taken the initiative in all military actions we have carried out. That was almost 73 years ago.
We may not believe this is a coordinated Chinese attack until it’s too late.

A new NOTAM has been issued by the FAA for an area over Havre, Montana. The airspace has been defined as “National Defense Airspace.”
