Pennsylvania Democrats take back state House control with three special election wins

Pennsylvania Democrats won a trio of state House special elections Tuesday night, handing them a clear majority.

The victories give Democrats the upper hand in a chamber that has seesawed in control since the November elections, resulting in a bipartisan "independent" speaker arrangement that quickly went sour. But with Tuesday's wins, the Democratic Party now is in a stronger position to block GOP-led initiatives, including a potential anti-abortion ballot measure.

Democrats won in three districts, according to projections by The Associated Press:

32nd District: Democrat Joe McAndrew defeated Republican Clay Walker. The seat was left vacant after the death in October of Anthony DeLuca, a Democrat who had been in office nearly four decades. 34th District: Democrat Abigail Salisbury defeated Republican Robert Pagane. The previous seat holder, Democrat Summer Lee, resigned after she won election to Congress in November. 35th District: Democrat Matthew Gergely defeated Republican Don Nevills. Democrat Austin Davis resigned after he was elected lieutenant governor in November.

Actually, much of what he said is correct, too. The GOP-E hated Mastriano. I am sure they voted for Shapiro. But even though I personally SAW outstanding commercials for Doug at a rally, I never saw them being run on radio or TV, even at the end. The campaign commercials that I saw were boilerplate introductions. Depressing!

I have no clue. But somebody got paid under the table big-time. Elections have consequences and voting to reelecting this POS cake eating bitch only certifies the downfall of the RNC. I am no longer a Republican, but an independent I will never vote Republican again. If I see a Democrat that is worthy of vote, I will vote for them. But otherwise I will not vote just because they are Republicans. Seems we can’t vote out those evil demon RINOS because they have a lot of help from Soros money coming from under the table. One person that we desperately needed to get rid of was the cow from Alaska and Romney but those bastards keep getting reelected over and over and over again …they both have to go and I’m not even talking about McConnell who is also in that barrel of fish yet!

The republican party has been screwed by those pieces of shit and it seems that they will never leave the capitol but only feet first out the door. If the Democrats were not so freaking evil, I would’ve stayed a democrat because they know how to fight for their base and for the party! Last night I was expecting McCarthy to do some thing similar to what Pelosi did in front of the national live audience. But to no avail, our party is spineless backstabbing you name it that’s what they are. We only have a few patriots other than that this party is worthless. Give McCarthy a few more months and he’ll turn back to his regular self of kissing rat butt.

3 democratic seats stayed democratic. Although we are getting slaughtered in these special elections, lost a seat in Virginia in January that was red. The Pennsylvania seats were expected loses. Since 2021, we haven’t done well in special elections.

The democrats are losing their touch it only took one in 2020.

Now the democrats control the elections in pennsylvania as they do in arizona and nevada.

I don’t see a path for republicans to win the presidency in 2024. It doesn’t really matter who the republican is. Nor does it matter who the democrat is.

Its about who controls the voting process.
