The blackification of the Grammys which were already meaningless, simply drove the final nail in the coffin of irrelevancy.

Blackification is so 2000s, it's now "All LGBTQ+ all the time"

Are they aware that most of us don’t participate in their culture?

Maybe not, but if we have TV subscriptions then we're paying for it whether we watch it or not.

Here is the left encapsulated in one blurb. They invent a war nobody is fighting. Then attack folks who they perceive are their enemies, when in reality the “enemy” is apathetic/disinterested about the lives these weirdos want to lead. Then declare victory in the echo chamber over the enemy never even bothered with them...lol.

Conservatives aren’t watching this garbage anymore, along with many liberals. Not hard to know trash when you see it. Joy Reid isn’t very plugged in to reality.

Don’t get too happy Joy; it’s a Pyrrhic victory.

Istand corrrected.

My ‘blackification’ comment was directly related to a black woman who’s music is awful and contributes directly to the sexualization of women and the detriment of “black culture” being the new reigning top Grammy winner.

The lgbtqwhogivesafuck pronoun using gender dysphoria crowd aside, ofcourse.

Wrong. It meant the enemy showed the true origin of their beliefs and verified this is a temporal and spiritual battle.

And Joy has proudly told us which side she is on.

Are they aware that most of us don’t participate in their culture? It seems not. Like all the other award shows, most people aren’t even ware of the winning songs, movies or shows let alone are regular consumers.

True. And so our task becomes one of finding and supporting the saving remnant who are keeping alive the traditional canons of excellence, an artistic perspective that insists that the world is morally coherent, and the commitment to the good, the true and the beautiful. A recurring comment that one hears from people who follow classical music is "thank God for the Asians," who are keeping the western canon alive. In film, a recurring comment from people on our side of the great divide is "Hollywood has too much woke garbage, but a lot of foreign films are great (and thank God for the Koreans)."

The insanity will burn out eventually; the pendulum does tend to swing back, and reality is conservative. In the meantime, the folks who are keeping the candle burning need all the help they can get. They still exist, sometimes in unexpected places.

I don't follow pop music at all and am still in nuke it from orbit mode. As far as I'm concerned, it's been all downhill since the Kingston Trio. I do follow movies a bit. I posted this recently -- TGC (The Gospel Coalition) review: "Best Movies of 2022" -- so I won't get into a discussion about it here, but if you haven't done so already, do open the link and read the author's introduction, which briefly discusses the moral, religious and artistic commitments that informed his "Best Movies of 2022" list.

Whether you follow through and scan his selections is up to you; the main point to be made here is that it is still possible for a committed Christian to assemble such a list: a top ten for feature films; ten more honorable mentions; and ten documentaries.

Just read the introduction: ... the films highlighted below are all in some way edifying—depicting goodness, truth, or beauty in ways Christian viewers can celebrate .... I would also note that these are mainstream films, and most of them were very well reviewed by the larger tribe of professional critics. These kinds of films still have a market.

In my recent hobby as an undercover observer of the film scene, I sometimes scan quicky through the photo galleries of major industry events. Attendees break out into obvious classes. There are the grotesques in freakshow clothing with too many tattoos and piercings; these are the ones we want to nuke from orbit. Then there are the pathetic cases, who consist disproportionately of overage and/or seriously overweight women who still try to squeeze into tight, revealing dresses and pretend that they are still young and attractive. These people are just sad. They need counseling about aging gracefully. Last but not least, there are the normies: squared away, well dressed or at least within hailing distance of well dressed, looking sober, and presenting as people you would not be embarrassed to be seen with. If we ever do get our hands on a bomb and decide to nuke the entertainment industry, we need to allow at least 72 hours for an extraction team to get in and get the normies out of the blast radius.

Queer musicians and their accomplices are not culture. These are freaks producing freak crap, for the freaks. Like they say “art is for the artists”.

My drummer’s wife is still a DJ locally on a rock, pop station. I do listen to that one occasionally.
