The U.S. military has shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean.
While the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, the balloon was shot down by the U.S. military on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox News sources

I thought they said earlier today or yesterday that the balloon cannot be steered but only raised and lowered in altitude. How could they have steered this balloon?

That is how ALL balloons are steered. Winds blow in different directions at different altitudes. Balloon operators change elevation in order to find air currents going in different directions.
I just had a funny thought.
What if, after waiting three days for it to clear US Air Space, it crashed down onto a cruise ship.
That would be Biden luck.
