I took a DNA test and found out I have twin sisters from one of my father’s extramarital endeavors.

Did you ever meet her? Is your father still alive?

They’d be half-sisters, no?

I have a friend from age 5 who discovered he was adopted from papers in his parents drawers. He had no idea up to that point in time. 2 years ago, he submitted his DNA and it had a match to his sister. They exchanged information. Just last year, he was informed that his lung cancer had come out of remission. His sister came to visit him in Oregon in July of this year. A nice reunion of siblings. Sometimes it works out well.

My father had a half brother who was adopted out by my grandfather when his wife died in child birth. My dad and his half brother eventually connected and had a good time interacting. I have a half-cousin living in New York. She did make her way to my parents home for an in person visit before they both passed.

So let’s say you had a few one night stands in your youth. These DNA tests could really cause a problem. A friend was asking of course.
