His comment timing aside, he is accurate in that we must get this welfare federal system under control as we are sinking the country. A small example is housing illegals in luxury hotels, reparation demands, student loan expunging, and other too numerous to mention. I know SS is not going away but it was to be a safety net not a retirement program. Only way to balance the budget is to reduce everything across the board some percentage, not just SS. None of this detracts from fact McConnell is a turd.

If you want to know what a real Republican is, you need look no further than Mitch McConnell.
McConnell is an oligarchic prick that knows he won’t be removed until HE chooses to retire or dies.
He has hand-picked most of his fellow Republican senators, and disallows anybody who opposes him from entering HIS senate. And any that actually do he works to co-opt.
Rino McConnell is owned by the Chinese and maybe is just following orders.
If you can’t remove Mitch as your leader, then all you care about is money. Why don’t the other Senators protest what Mitch did? They fear he won’t fund their reelections. Mitch has no personality either.

Agree. The 17th Amendment has been a disaster.
Total disaster. Same can be said of the 16th Amendment, as well.
