1) No proof anywhere, on any cop or city camera, of any traffic violation
2) Three cop cars make the initial stop, surrounding Tyre’s car and preventing it from moving.
3) No one tells Tyre why he has been stopped.
4) All LEOs are swearing at and ordering Tyre to do various things. Everything is very loud and happening very fast.
5) He is obviously trying to make sense of what is a senseless situation and to comply.
6) They taze him. That is what I saw. Others said they pepper sprayed him.
7) Somehow he runs away. I would have, too. He was mere blocks away from his home. I could not watch the rest.
This had to be an ordered hit, like Uvalde.
Watch the video.
Great shows—I have learned a lot of details about police procedure and the real world on the street from watching them.
One scenario that fascinates me is when the cop pulls over a vehicle with no license, no insurance, no registration.
Those are huge red flags—but the cops have discretion.
They will usually ask the driver to get out of the vehicle.
Now—the question is—do you put them in cuffs “for your safety and ours” or not?
Sometimes you get the feeling that the mood of the cop that day is the determining factor.
Some cops are playing a game of cat and mouse—they think the uncuffed suspect will run but they want to see what happens.
Other times the cop is tired and does not want to risk a foot chase and so will go for the cuffs.
Watch the videos. Listen to the police chief.
Running from the cops is always a very bad idea.
The odds of a good outcome from that are very close to zero unless you are an Olympic sprinter.
What ever they stopped him for, he DID NOT deserve that treatment.
5 blacks on one small black kid is manslaughter in my book. The video is sickening.
This article is a true, but cleansed. It seems to try and diminish the brutality of the assault.
The ATTACK needs a “blow by blow” description of the beating to DEATH of this man in police “custody”.
NOT an oh yeah, he got (what appeared to be) kicked.
Slapped!!!!!? While describing this attack to my wife she had to ask me what a “roundhouse” punch was. Its NOT a “slap”.
All I had to see was the original Daily Mail picture of Tyre in the hospital bed.
I did and there is no excuse for their actions. He didn’t put up much of a fight but...... White suprema-cysts rhetoric..... You know the drill. Even though the participants were all black.
Watch the videos.
“Why should their department procedures be the only standards they are judged by?”
Because that is what they are trained to do. If those procedures are illegal or immoral that’s a department and leadership problem.
That said, I believe officers have a fair amount of discretion in the implementation of those procedures as it’s hard to cover ever possible situation they will encounter. A jury will decide if these officers have engaged in illegal actions in this case.
You’re part of the problem. You’re one of those “well it won’t get better, so deal with it.” Your attitude hasn’t gotten us anywhere. You’re like that with politics too.
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
That is the real world.
I don’t have to like it to understand it.
This has already gone through the spin cycle. I listened to some clown on the radio who said this was white on black because the black officers were trained by whitey.
Because that is what they are trained to do. If those procedures are illegal or immoral that’s a department and leadership problem.
“This had to be an ordered hit, like Uvalde.”
Can you please expand on that comment?
It fits the ACAB narrative. Black cops are sell-outs to The Man.
Well we can only speculate and that’s often not how things generally pan out because reports will be unfolding along the way...and change.
