This is the horrific moment police shoot an unarmed disabled man seven times after suspecting he had a hostage in his trailer.
Jason Harley Kloepfer, 41, from North Carolina, US, was shot in the chest and arm after Cherokee County police responded to reports of a gunfire on December 12 at around 11pm.
Cops believed Kloepfer, who identifies as disabled, was the alleged gunman and holding a hostage inside his trailer - despite being inside with his wife.
In the shocking footage, Kloepfer is seen inside the trailer opening the door to police.
Kloepfer, and his wife Alison Mahler, both raise their hands in the air to show they are unarmed....

The cops are screwed on this one. Bad shoot period. They are lucky he survived.
Good that you are tough. But what you are experiencing can absolutely be debilitating for others. You cannot judge others by your own.
What if it turns out that this guy was hearing impaired? Or mentally impaired? Can you judge hearing or mental impairment compared to your own back issues to determine disabled or not?
There are many kinds of disabilities including mental. Just because someone has not filed for disability, or has not been accepted by the government to have a legal disability, this does not make that very real disability go away and not exist.

Actually they are not. They would be better off if he had not survived. Now we have HIS side of the story.
my point was “identifies as disabled” kinda like folks can now “identify as a tree/woman/superhero”
You can’t turn it on and off. just my opinion.
I identify as mentally disabled. My doctor agrees, my family agrees, my friends agree. But I have never filed for disability so does this not make me mentally disabled?
If someone claims they are a good driver but does not have a current driver’s license does this negate their claim of being a good driver?

That’s OK ... I’m about 1% on the side of LEOs and this sort of thing is the reason.
Consider this logic. The writer of this article was probably a woke kid who took liberty to use the term “identifies as disabled” rather than “Claims to be disabled” like they should have. The victim probably never even said those words... The author inserted them on their own.
So you could be judging the victim for those words when it was actually the author of the article who chose to use those words...
Same here. It’s bad out there. Cops are not your friends. Period. Never talk to them even if they just want to ‘find out what’s going on’ before they read your rights.
This country’s legal system is a total joke. If you aren’t pals with cops or a politician, you are SCREWED.

Every badge-wearing thug involved in this fiasco need to do life in prison ... in general population.
Also, even if they tell you you’re a witness, get a lawyer.
It’s a weird paradox where you want to be the one to call 911 first, but they also highly suspect you either way. You just can’t win. I’ve known numerous victims that got highly screwed, arrested, and harassed by cops and their pals the DA’s for just calling 911 and reporting something.

Well good... AT least you see the most likely source of those particular words as the author. It should have been “who claims to be disabled”. Doubt the guy even used those particular words.
Well I have to equate it with other things out there... I NEVER believed in “Regulating the Many for the actions of a few”. Same goes here man... Just saying...

If the many wish to avoid that, they need to regulate the few themselves. Any group whose members don't police themselves will be policed, and they won't like it. LEOs are no exception to this iron clad rule.
They're their own worse enemies. They don't police themselves. At present, "Law Enforcement" is composed of thugs and people who tolerate thugs.
Well that’s a double edge sword no doubt... I’m past ready to go scorched earth for the actions a the few afros so believe me I understand your perspective on this!! But no LEOs at all would be bad me thinks...
