When you lose Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, you'll lose Fox next.

I wonder if the people of Taiwan will have the grit to fight Red China, or if they’ll kowtow to the ‘inevitable’.

Maybe the Taiwanese need to hire the Wagner Group? /sarc

Once China feels threatened by the US using Taiwan as a launching pad for weapons aimed at them, the same fate as the US backed former state of Ukraine will befall Taiwan.
It is past obvious the US proxy war on Ukraine has failed.

The issue in Taiwan isn’t weaponry - its the size of their own army and their own willingness to “fight.”
have seen reports that many units in even their tiny budgeted 200K armed forces are inactive, because they are understaffed.

Taiwan ? That’s not exactly tank country. And despite DC, China isn’t invading. They’ll take it like they did Hong Kong. Work to install a leftist leader, seduce and bribe, sign a deal, and slowly blend.
It’ll be more like a business acquisition merger…not D-Day.

The Wagner Group are the new Cossacks.

May as well give them to Taiwan. Better than giving them all to Ukraine, we’re giving away all of our weapons. At least we have a stake in what happens in Taiwan.

Good idea! The Ukes can sell them on the back market to the russians and the Taliban.

One of the reasons the Pentagon is against sending US troops to Ukraine is that they don't want to show the world how poorly they'll perform there. Many of the smart generals (decreasing number) are aware of this.

Taiwan is healthy, wealthy and free, and thriving, they can buy what they wish to have.
What they need to be doing is trying to build a martial spirit in their nation, it is the indifference to the military training of their soldiers and young men that is most troubling.

Excuse me you have some other source writing about what the WSJ quoted someone else as saying.
That’s not the WSJ’s policy.
Ukraine obviously needs the tanks for an ongoing land war more than Taiwan.
We need to arm both and we need to increase arms production.
I wouldn’t rely on anyone who says containment of Russia has failed when Ukraine took territory back after a year of resisting Russia;
Nor would I rely on anyone who says the “solution” would be to stop arming Ukraine.
Russia is going to face straight up defeat this Spring. Nice try, Ivan.

You know the generals who think our forces can’t defeat a pos Russia that can’t even whip Ukraine?
Maybe people should stop making up crap.
