Leftism is indeed the greatest danger to our Republic. But he had his chance and took the side of the Leftists.
As for the “McCarthy Era”, he doesn’t have a damned clue. He only knows what he has been told the the people he wants to criticize, yet he swallows that whole and unquestioningly.
Joseph McCarthy was an American Hero who purchased us several decades more before the Leftists came out of the closet and began their destruction of our country in earnest.
AMEN! to that. He fought a valiant fight that delayed the communist onslaught a little bit. His communist enemies destroyed him for that.
It honestly seems like he thought Biden was a loyal member of the Deep State Establishment - a reliable Old DC Hand - only to learn too late that he is actually a senile puppet of the same Obama-era Radical Progressive Movement he correctly identifies and reviles.
And many, many other veteran Republicans thought the same thing - overestimating the danger Trump posed to the defense/intelligence cosa nostra and underestimating the danger Biden's real backers posed to the economy and social structure of the nation.
DeSantis might offer them a compromise way out, but they should never be forgiven for stabbing Trump in the back.
