Yet this is exactly what Trump and DeSantis face as they launch their campaigns or stealth campaigns — whatever.

And to do that, you only need to play games a very few districts, in a few key states. you have the cover of "law" and the bureaucracy, and very few people are involved. Everyone else votes more or less normally, so feels nothing is wrong.
Ducey sat on his hands in Arizona, as did Kemp in Georgia (thanks a whole heck if a lot, guys). The Supreme Court has shown no interest in addressing election fraud issues at the federal level (another big thank you). It would be nice if the Republicans in Congress would take action, but McConnell is looking like an adopted member of the Biden family, and it would take a miracle for the House to pass anything that would be approved by the Senate and White House. Face it, 2024 will likely be even worse than 2020 and 2022...
I am no great authority on this issue and while it’s doubtless correct that no one at the top of the GOP hierarchy is doing anything to fight this problem, it’s my understanding that Governor Abbot is all over this problem. Last I saw, Texas filed a lawsuit concerning the 2020 election claiming that irregularities had the effect of illegally diluting the Texas vote.
Haven’t heard what’s come of this. However, I would bet that Abbot wil stay in the fight on this topic.
DeSantis(and Jeb! Bush who regrettably you have to give credit to) cleaned up Florida’s elections. Results statewide counted and reported by 9-10 pm, no feet dragging and manufacturing Dem votes in the Dem stronghold counties.
Unfortunately elections have to be cleaned up by individual states.

Great article! But except for Trump (sometimes) no one in the GOP leadership cares about voter fraud in the least. It’s so much easier to pretend everything is on the up-and-up.

America has a political party, period. It’s quite diverse, but it’s all the same party in the end. Any doubts, check the progress of the debt.
Democrats knew, after the ‘shellacking’ of 2010, that, they could not win elections fair and square, and that in order for them to ‘win’, they’d have to cheat and steal most elections in order to stay in power or gain power.
We are now seeing their methods for winning, and republicans cannot combat the corruption of election officials and of politicians who are willing to any anything in order to ‘win’. Republicans can claim to be the party of fairness and of election integrity. That’s not going to win them elections when the other party is going to make sure that fairness and integrity by republicans is going to be the signal for democrats’ cheating and lying and theft.
Democrats have too much to lose by being fair and by running elections with integrity.

Had he requested my help to correct the election situation, like volunteering in some way to fix it, I would have made a donation. But ignoring the fixed elections in WA state is not a reason to support someone who lost from not understanding how the election was rigged, and how to fix it. He really needs to start a ballot harvesting crew of his own.
2024 it will just happen again. The same usual suspects will say that the GOP needs to soften its message/ appeal more to soccer mom’s/ flip on abortion/ appeal more to blacks and Hispanics, etc... We will all get caught up in Trump vs. DeSantis, when neither of them can win. It doesn’t matter how hard we vote, they will just print more.
