Donald Trump Blasts Evangelicals for ‘Disloyalty’ Over Lack of 2024 Support
New York Post ^ | January 17, 2023 | Mark Moore

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at evangelicals for not supporting his latest presidential campaign, saying it was a “sign of disloyalty” after he appointed three conservative Supreme Court justices and made their long-held dream of overturning Roe v. Wade possible.

Trump, 76, told Real America’s Voice’s “The Water Cooler” Monday that the religious bloc of voters who were key to his 2016 victory have not yet come out to back his 2024 White House bid.

“That’s a sign of disloyalty,” Trump told host David Brody. “There’s great disloyalty in the world of politics, and that’s a sign of disloyalty.”

I don’t think I am mistaken. I don’t believe a liberal patriot would have voted for Trump.

The voter turnout last year was about 46 percent, down 20 percent from 2020.

The country is being driven off a cliff, and American voters can’t be bothered to go vote.

There is certainly disloyalty out there, to the country, at least.

I am cynical now. People want to point to politicians when it is the stupidity of voters that is doing us in.

I can’t forget the voters in Pennsylvania voting in an idiot and the people in Georgia voting in a idiot communist. Way to go Georgia!!!

Americans form his base...and they aren’t all sheep. If Trump keeps stepping in it with his comments and such his base is going to start to question if he’s ready for prime time again.

You can bleat about Patriots all you want but I’ll bet 99% of the people here are Patriots but that doesn’t mean they are blind followers. Trump needs to show us he has a plan with specifics and not more of his generalities...that isn’t gonna cut it this time around.

Why doesn't he just tell them that it was their fault the GOP did worse in 2022 than expected? Oh wait. He already did that.

It's not disloyalty, Donny. Give evangelicals and pro-life Catholics a reason to vote for you again. Bashing them won't bring them home.

And, might I add, Trump did not BLAST anyone, he just stated his opinion.

These headline writers amaze me. I can see politicians merely make a statement, and it comes out the next day with screaming headlines that make you think the politician was actually trying to murder someone.

Delusions of grandeur.

The ol' dishonest NeverTrumper Post at it again.

What President Trump actually said, was that some Evangelical Leaders were disloyal to him, not, as this FAKE NEWS headlines implies and distorts, and you three so eagerly allowed yourselves to be manipulated into believing, "ALL Evangelicals."

But anything that you can use to dishonestly "paint" President Trump in a ugly, negative way is good with you "Mini-Me" DeSantis suporters, right?

If he actually said this, I need to see - not just read - the full context.

Regardless, I think he is too old to run for President, but I will support him if he is nominated.

Frankly, Trump is the only Republican who can win the Electoral College.

No Republican can win a plurality or majority of the popular vote in a national election.

Yes, Evangelical Protestant Christians are the core of American conservatism.

There is nothing on the right without them.

Back stabbing? I support the Constitution, conservative values, and God. It is your right to hate all those things, and bash me for it, and it’s my right to maintain my beliefs. But it’s pretty funny that you call people loyal to the Constitution backstabbers. One day you may miss the Constitution you threw away so lightly.

stop supporting homos Donald. stop saying their good is evil... stop celebrating their “freedom” to promote their lifestyle choices... which are deadly.

stop throwing parties for them at Mar a Lago... like you did for them last year.

Surely, you jest. I couldn’t pick DeSantis out of a line up. It is only two years away but I am going with Tulsi Gabbard. I want a surfing president.

I’m with Trump on this.
And also Catholics who will hypocritically march for life next week and then vote for a democrat against Trump who was the most prolife president we ever had and the only one to appear at the March for Life parade.

You confuse TDS with simply asking what he’s going to do for the country going forward. Why is that question a problem for you? I care less about his tweets...that’s just his NY ego playing out. You can cheer lead for him all you want central. I and many other Americans are going to want to see and hear some specific plans to fix our problems...let’s see and hear that substance you think he has.
