Former President Donald Trump lashed out at evangelicals for not supporting his latest presidential campaign, saying it was a “sign of disloyalty” after he appointed three conservative Supreme Court justices and made their long-held dream of overturning Roe v. Wade possible.
Trump, 76, told Real America’s Voice’s “The Water Cooler” Monday that the religious bloc of voters who were key to his 2016 victory have not yet come out to back his 2024 White House bid.
“That’s a sign of disloyalty,” Trump told host David Brody. “There’s great disloyalty in the world of politics, and that’s a sign of disloyalty.”

Nominating nonleftist Justices is the basic duty of a Republican President and not all that hard when you have the Senate under your control. It would be much harder for Trump to go and pick a leftist Justice if for some reason he wanted to since that would enrage his entire network.
Do you lavishly praise grocery store clerks for bagging groceries adequately or fast food workers for filling your order correctly? Alito, a Bush nominee was the intellectual powerhouse behind the overturn of Roe v Wade. Alito and Gorsuch are more conservative and a greater force on the Court than Kavanaugh and Barrett who are Roberts fanboys.
Do you really believe anything that a Rupert Murdoch publication says? sounds like fake news
And another thing. Its not like Trump fired up Lexis Nexis himself and read through Court opinions to come up with a pick himself after carefully weighing complicated legal and sociopolitical theories in his mind. It was presented to him by his advisors from recommendations by the Federalist society etc.
Pro-Confederate Patriot NO SUCH THING.
Do you think it is within Trump's capacity to consider that maybe HE should try being loyal to the principles of the folks that got him elected?
Me neither.
It is silly to expect the most hard-core Christians to follow the compromise-first candidate.
“....I support President Trump yesterday, today and tomorrow .
Hear, hear!!!..”
Yes - he has earned all our support!!
Hesupports traitors who rebeled against the US, and the Constitution
“Attacking your friends is not a good way to influence people.”
Sounds like they were just ‘fair weather friends’.
First off many evangelicals don’t even support God anymore.
Then Donald Trumps USSC justices are not conservative just because they made a single good decision. And the last two are downright liberal.
This evangelical has dropped Trump over hos continued support of homosexual marriage, equivocating on abortion, utter failure to drain the Swamp and absolute stupidity in choosing traitorous personnel during his presidency. As a long time NYC resident I never liked the guy back in the day, but voted for him twice anyway. He had his chance.
You need those fair weather friends to win an election. You can’t win an election with only a hardcore constituency.
Just out of curiosity... how does voter turnout in midterm elections usually compare with voter turnout when there’s a presidential election?
In other words... how did 2018 compare to 2016?
How did 2014 compare to 2012?
How did 2010 compare to 2008?
etc....
I’m thinking that midterm elections do not typically draw the same turnout as when there is a presidential contest on the ballot.
“Do conservatives learn?”...Yes some do. But he’s running for President...so this was not a smart move/comment on his part.
Trump fears he’s going to lose the middle of the GOP base, many of whom had pesonal reservations about Trump in 2016, to DeSantis. Trump is in primary season campaign mode. He’s trying to harden up his support amongst the Only Trumpers and secret servers in Germany fringe nutjobs. He must figure that is enough to defeat DeSantis. So he will be throwing more rhetorical bombs like that because this because is what fires up those types and GOTV.
You know I’d settle for someone who has the best interests of the American people in mind, someone who truly understands what the average person expects and doesn’t practice the divisive politics that have over taken this country. In other words a real leader...not the current crop we have to choose from. I and I believe many others are tired of the us verses them crap. It helps no one and solves nothing.
If you believe that Biden legitimately won the election, your head is up your ass...with all due respect.
So you have a nice evening and you just keep telling yourself, it'll be ok in 2024.
Evangelicals that I know felt he left them.
Can I ask your opinion of Senator Lindsey Graham?
Well that’s not a very good way to bring them back into the fold.
“Let’s eat grandma”
