What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary?
It may not be the most pressing question that gender-nonconforming people face on the job, but with approximately 1.2 million LGBTQ+ Americans identifying as nonbinary, employers and employees alike are exploring what professional attire can look like.
“I think people treat me with more dignity when I dress more masculinely, but people are way nicer to me when I dress more femininely,” said El Layla Johnson, 33, a former restaurant server who is now a therapist.
For Johnson, getting dressed for work has been a struggle since adolescence.
“I just feel like there’s a manual or rule book that people receive and that my copy got lost in the mail,” Johnson said.
Johnson recalled regularly crying while getting dressed for work at an upscale restaurant in Seattle. It wasn’t just that they found the restaurant’s dress code to be ugly. Johnson had a hard time finding clothes that fit at all.

Good Saturday Morning!
Hoping that everyone has something interesting (and/or relaxing) going on this weekend...
Starting out with a ‘normal’ Wordle day...
Wordle 679 4/6

(In the golf analog, this Par on the 1st hole starts me at Par for the round... ... ⛳️)
Good job!
I was back to my normal, and it was almost a no brainer at the second line. Letter placement, and all that! If I had chosen something else for a second word, I may have gone on to a Fiver.
As long as I don’t hit the Dreaded X/6! ;o]
Nice job on that 3-spot, ‘Face!
That does seem to be your ‘normal,’ I still have way more fours than threes...
The second word can often make it or break it... the other day a good second word led me to a 3-spot...
Thanks!
Yeah, I get it. Today’s was like that. I may use today’s second word as the starting word when the one I’m using is taken.
What can I say? I love word games!
This is where we are, Star!
Finally!!!! :)
Welcome back, Star!!
The Undead Thread is always very quiet on weekends.
Tax-chick usually posts a kitty pic every day, but she hasn’t shown up today. I just sent her a text to see if everything is OK.
Anyway, only Zzeeman and I post on weekends with any regularity. Others do some drive-by posts with their Wordle games, but it’s usually quiet here.
Hi, we’re home. Still no news other than Frank’s team being 2nd at middle school level.
Tom didn’t clean the stove like he was told.
The high school team that’s NOT Vlad’s was 3rd. No word on results other than the top 5. The director said the printer broke, so they couldn’t distribute the results. It’ll be emailed eventually!
Good for Frank’s team!
Boo for Tom. Maybe he figures there’s no percentage in the effort because he’s vacating soon. Turkey.
There are always copy shops to get copies made. I mean, it’s a business expense, after all.
But I guess emailing is OK.
I have no idea why I’m up so early. I’ve been awake for over an hour, and finally just got out of bed. I was wet and cold. The night sweats are getting worse, even though I try not to drink much water. That probably just means the symptoms are increasing.
Placido Domingo, Wordle Players!
Here’s today’s effort. I second-guessed myself or it could have been done in two tries.
Wordle 680 3/6

(If you want on or off the Wordle Player ping list, please let me know!)
To make copies, they have to print first. But anyway, it will turn up.
Good morning. It’s raining. I’m supposed to have Archery instructor training. Wet, we will be!
Stick it on a thumb drive and take it to the copy shop. But they’ll figure it out, sooner or later.
Wet, you will be from the sounds of it! The storm we had yesterday. Poor you!
What a sweet pensive little face!
Good morning. I hope after all the activity yesterday that you were able to have a good night’s rest.
I’ll head for the shower in a minute, mostly to get warm, but also because it’s time. I have the Perpetual Slows, here.
Jake says it’s wet. He insisted on going out!
Silly Jake!
The shower was warm, but not wonderfully so. Still, I’m cleaner than I was, and smell much better, probably because of the shower gel!
I want to get out the door by 7:30, so I need to dress for archery in the rain and mud. I’ll take something clean for church, since I’ll be going there directly from camp. At least I can put on dry socks and shoes before Mass!
Good luck to you today!
See ya later!
