Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Thursday on CNN’s “The Lead” that former President Donald Trump was a “proven loser” whose influence on the Republican Party is “fading fast.”
Anchor Jake Tapper asked, “What if you were advising Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans right now? What would you tell them to do about the U.S. economy?”
Ryan said, “We can make good on our social contract, which I would argue, center-left and center-right, we agree on. We believe in Medicare and Social Security and Medicaid, so let’s make these things solvent. Let’s make them work better. Let’s make them guaranteed and make them solvent for the next generation. That takes persuasion politics.”
Tapper said, “I know that when you were speaker and Donald Trump was president, you guys would talk about this. And he did not understand why you would ever want to do it because it’s bad politics.”
Paul Ryan added, “He’s fading fast. He is a proven loser. He cost us the House in ’18, he cost us the White House in ’20, he cost us the Senate again and again, and I think we all know that. And I think we’re moving past Trump. I really think that’s the case. I can’t imagine getting him the nomination, frankly.”

yeah ... he endorsed a guy that isn’t a candidate just to cause a division in Trump supporters. Many suckers fell for it.
Ryan is more comfortable with the likes of Buttigieg.
Exactly. He was anti-Trump from the get go.
Some conservative.

Where have we heard those words before....but Trump won!
You Republican bitter clingers had better wake up. YOU ARE NOT taking over the GOP, and if you do, the RINOs will all become Democrats overnight.
Too many Americans hate the GOP with a hatred that is white-hot and incandescent for Trump to become President again as a Republican - which of course, he never was to begin with.
Paul colluded with Dems to make false accusations against Trump, blocking Nunes from showing the truth of Trump’s innocence and of Dems malfeasance, costing Reps the House in 2018 allowing the phony impeachments and costing the White House in 2020.
He did it all to get rid of Trump and he blames it all on Trump.
We saw across key competitive races in 2022 voters who otherwise voted Republican voted against or didn’t vote for his endorsed candidates. Saw it in GA, in AZ and elsewhere. We cannot risk him in 2024. It’s the same as conceding the race to Joe and Kamal right now.
Trump used to believe in the agenda and the movement as being bigger than himself but he has shown that he cannot step aside and let others carry the torch. In 2022, he traveled and collected funds but did he spend it to help win races or for get out the vote efforts? NO. Even Herschel Walker had to call him out for keeping 90% of donations supposedly made for the Georgia runoff.
Trump was a visionary and necessary reset in the geopolitical world but his own obsession has ruined him. Even his badly timed announcement for 2024 showed he lacked energy.

Who had a LBGTQ+ party at their house?…
“Paul Ryan: ‘Proven Loser’ Is ‘Fading Fast’”
Sucking up to his Murdoch family masters.
Trump got rid of Trump. Stop making excuses for the man.
Paul Ryan has credibility on this subject... knows a lot about being a proven loser himself.
What a horrible little man....
The obvious is dawning on more and more people across the political spectrum, even idiots like Ryan.
President Trump has not gone anywhere. He won the election and was cheated out of the presidency. He will be coming back with a vengeance and is the person who will be giving President Harris the boot. Deal with it, media shill!
