I think you’re onto something.
McCarthy seems to be initially moving toward making good on his quid pro quo commitments. But after awhile he will slide right back into the McCarthy of old. He made the accommodations he had to make to get the Speakership. Eventually he’ll feel he’s done enough and become another Paul Ryan.
McCarthy talks too much and does too little.

Lindsay Graham pulled a stunt like,this during midterms when he cam out and said the gop would ban abortions nationwide. He knew full well that it would lose the gop a win in tigh5 races- either that or he was so stupid that he didn’t know, but I find that hard to beleive. I think he intentionally sabotaged the midterms. Is Kevin trying to do the same by taking the focus off of Biden and the stolen documents?

He should expunge the impeachments, not because Trump didn’t commit impeachable offenses (he clearly didn’t), but because of the violations of the Constitution and the House policies and procedures . . .
