The Chicago Board of Education’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) annual report found hundreds of Chicago Public School (CPS) teachers were accused of adult-to-student sexual misconduct in the 2021-2022 school year.

The OIG’s Sexual Allegations Unit (SAU) opened 447 cases investigating teachers for allegedly grooming, sexually assaulting, or raping CPS students last school year, following the 325 opened in 2021. Of the open cases, the SAU closed 600 over the past 12 months, according to the OIG annual report, reported ChicagoCityWire.

As long as law enforcement doesn’t take grooming seriously, these situations will keep happening.

It’s not just Chicago. Teachers are vile and evil. You don’t hear a big push back from teachers. You don’t hear from teacher unions unless it’s about better pay and benefits. Face it, teachers are no different than any other lazy ass government employee. They couldn’t make it college with a real major, so the choose education. They couldn’t make it in the private sector, so they choose a lazy ass government job. Teachers consistently fail and ask for more pay. They don’t give a damn about children.

Unionized public schools are a sanctuary for pedophiles. Think of how many cases weren’t reported.

Defund public schools now!

We have to burn the village to save it.

Sht, public education is a scam… should not be a right but a privilege. Feds should stay out of it. Defund and break up the entire department of education.

And that is in TODAY’s environment? It’s unimaginable the amount of abuse children have had to endure in the past.

You got that right.

Those that can, do.
Those that can’t, teach.
Those that can’t teach, teach teachers.

Private schools, whose teachers were trained in the same sick teacher-education programs as were the public school teachers, are only slightly behind the sickness of the public schools. School administration curricula are the same, no matter which type of school becomes the employer. Teachers and administrations shunt between public and private quite often in a career, bringing their understanding of what their role is with them.

Are you serious? I’d bet that sexual exploitation is at close to an all-time high.

We had a fair bit of corporal punishment up until grade 9, when the school board wussed out. The corporal punishment, and the residual habits instituted through it, created a reasonable atmosphere for learning, IMHO. I would not characterize that as abuse.
