I think they just make up numbers.
Last summer we (FL) had around 80-90 days straight of 90 degrees or higher. It was freaking GREAT! Hoping for a repeat this summer.
Prior to 2020, the UN, and by fiat the EU, dismantled over 150 worldwide weather reporting stations, resulting in gross averaging over huge territories.
In this averaging process, the reports still compute the numbers upward. Satellite data is even more suspect.
Yes, you are correct - they do make numbers up.
All one has to do is check actual daily summer weather reports over time from various places to determine for a fact that they are making it all up. They rely on the public’s, and especially the young, gullibility and lack of experience.
Well you’re nicer than I am… many times esp during winter I swear the temps they were reporting were higher than 2 of my reliable mercury thermometers.
Summer was a temp agreement, but the coldest days were out of whack. And either they are measuring by vehicle exhaust or a protected entryway.
I know they were measuring in a city space which is always higher.
I would like to see their measuring stations.
