Beth Pensky, a 54-year-old single mother from New Jersey who now lives in Florida, never tells anyone that she’s estranged from her only son and daughter.
“I lie all the time,” said Pensky, who told The Post her kids have rejected her because they’re “woke” and she is not. “I can’t tell anyone I don’t have a relationship with them. I had so much shame about it. It looks awful for me and makes me feel terrible so I lie.”
But her attitude changed when she — and a number of other mothers — read a Post story in November about Annabella Rockwell, a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College who claimed she’d been “totally indoctrinated” into hard-left ideologies at the school and had to be deprogrammed.
“I saw Annabella’s story and my life turned upside down,” Pensky said. “I realized I wasn’t alone and I saw what happened to her was similar to what I think happened to my kids. I never even considered trying to find a deprogrammer. I didn’t know they existed. But I think it’s too late for me and my kids. They won’t even talk to me.”
A Manhattan mother of five daughters told The Post she saw their indoctrination into gender and race ideologies start at Dalton, one of New York City’s poshest private academies — and worsen when her girls went to colleges. Most of them went to Ivy League schools.

One does not need a deprogrammer to deprogram them of Woke Polices and Programs. Living life and reality will deprogram one. If one lives long enough. Gaining intelligence will deprogram one.
Nope. I’m on the east coast though in a solid blue state. Even with Georgia trending the wrong direction politically it would still be an improvement over my home state. I’ve remained for personal reason, but I’m going to try and convince my wife we need to relocate this year to Florida or somewhere that is still sane.
Agreed. My parents didn’t even though they both are republican leaning and now I’m the only conservative among my brother and sister. I’m not trying to force my views on my children, but I’m explaining to them my point-of-view when they run into liberal idiocy.
Obviously I don’t want them to be leftist, but I want to be there to steer them into the right direction rather than forcing it on them. So far it’s working my son makes fun of the woke students at his school to me at home and he will listen to Steven Crowder videos that he found on his own without my prodding.
Many of these parents of many of these kids were the products of earlier social engineering. Not nearly to the degree as the kids are today.. but it is there.
This women is a single parent.. which started in the late seventies? Who knows maybe she herself is a product of ..what used to be called.. a broken home.
The whole purpose of education is to develop a “BS Meter”.
I don’t think it’s because they aren’t doing their job, I think a lot of parents today are just very naive when it comes to education. A lot do not realized that rat bastard Marxist scumbags have taken it over thanks to our main stream media which refuses to report it like they refuse to report a million other things about the left harming the country.

You don’t believe it’s a parent’s role to teach their kids critical thinking skills - to be able to discern what they hear in school or via the media?
Are you relying on the government or church to do that for you? Sounds like a parents role to me.
Of course it is the parents role.
However parents are out shouted by the media out gunned by schools libraries and any organization from scouts to the y. And many churches have toxic agendas.
It is easy to blame but hard to see or fix the poisonous culture that has become America. We are a shame on the world and the self righteous here and in other places blame puny parents for somehow not being able filter out the pure garbage that you and every other conservative adult in the country has permitted to exist!

Oh. You mean at college. I thought you were talking about a school, where people learn things. Stop sending your kids to those places. They come out dumber than they were when they came in. If they want to learn about literature, philosophy, etc., give them some books and tell them to read for their selves. Send them to trade schools, learn programming, welding, plumbing or something, instead.
It’s going to become necessary to ban public schools. Parents are responsible for the education of their children. Let the parents teach them at home— or not, if they so choose. But public schools should not be an option.
Parents are the ones who should decide how much “education” their kids need and what that education should consist of.
