Damar Hamlin is awake, alert, moving, and – perhaps most significantly – talking. Hamlin’s breathing tube was removed Friday for the first time since he’s arrived at the hospital, and the Buffalo Bills’ safety spent the morning talking with teammates and addressing the entire team via FaceTime.

I have a hunch he got the clot shot probably along with a booster like the rest of his team. The bad part is that you never could predict how it affects a person, and more or less you end up playing Russian roulette.
Uh, turns out (I found this out yesterday) we had a high school football player in our area go through the same thing a few years ago. I missed it (prolly because I was too busy taking care of elderly p’s to be watching news much.)

Indeed, that (CPR training) is getting a lot of encouragement on our local news channels, and one even had a report including a demonstration and pretty good graphics’ instructions. The CPR is really not that difficult, availability and proper use of an AED is probably a bit tougher...
Re #1, yes it is a miracle. To go from biological dead to this is simply a miracle.

Some reports said Hamlin was resuscitated on the field twice — I’m thinking that plus the continuous CPR must have given his system enough circulation to carry him through.

Also, breathing MAY continue as long as a minute after the heart stops, but, of course, without CPR there’s little or no blood circulation to clear out the CO2 / carbonic acid..
Damn good thing he can talk on his own now. Talking is even better than texting.
I know lots of people who have “died” and have been resuscitated. Almost all of them are still alive, save a few. But you know, old age has a way of catching up to you.

In this age of anti-religion, we need signs and wonders.
God gave us this very public miracle to renew the drooping spirits and sagging faith of many.
I know it gave my “mustard seed” of faith a good shot in the arm!
Also other relatives, Mr Hamlin himself, the Bills and Bengals, and the medical team who saw it - those who people might listen to.
I suspect the propaganda has built a wall inside nearly all of them.
We can pray there will be one of them who will AT LEAST raise the vaxx question to a mind-numbed public. Before a second near-miss or a death occurs.
I am a strong believer in ‘Near death experience.’
But I am gonna make a joke about it.
If he had a ‘near death experience” he wouldn’t have had to ask, “did we win?”
