It’s fine to be angry. You were still angry when Trump was in the WH. It’s why you so enjoyed his tweets. Didn’t resolve anything. But you could channel your anger through his tweets. Anger for the sake of anger is fruitless.
While I don’t agree with the libs and their agenda, but what about their nation, society, religion and so forth? They aren’t entitled to theirs?

Standing on principle is a great accomplishment. If it prevents you from doing your job, then a position in a legislative branch of government may not be the place for you.
In the case of the people whose names have been mentioned in response to my prior post, they didn't have to make that decision because they lost their elections.

“Dobbs is an angry old man.”
***************************************************
Anyone who isn’t angry doesn’t know what’s going on. Dobbs is a true conservative and has always been consistent, I can’t imagine anyone on this forum having a problem with him.

Who hired them? The snake charmer.
To: RandFan
Agreed! McCarthy should not be speaker. Period. Good for the actual Republicans who have stood up to say NO! Isn’t this what we wanted? Doesn’t matter if it’s within the party, it’s about what is right and what is wrong.

It is now, officially, all out Trump.... what he believes is going to help him in 2024.

McCarthy is an ass and people know it. He is just like Fredo from the godfather. ‘I’m not stupid like everybody says, and I want respect.”

Is that really how McCarthy wants to win the Speakership McCarthy is an alligator in the swamp and it's clear will do anything to become Speaker.

“But Trump signed bills that authorized huge amounts of federal spending”
fixed it for you
(although your post had the first three words right)
To: RandFan
Trump has now become a tool of our wretched political class. We are doomed, America is doomed if all we have to fight for us is The Washington GOP.
To: joesbucks
You seem to be mistaking me for someone else. And and your obfuscation doesn’t negate the fact that you should be angry, much like Lou Dobbs.
You’re not angry? You think our reps should cave and elect another swamp creature? Or are you only willing to cast aspersions and not state what you think?

Thomas Massie is the most principled member of Congress, in my book.
He's also pretty damned useless in many respects, since he's often among a handful of House members voting against a bill that gets passed with 400+ votes.

Don’t know, this article is the first I’ve heard of him in a long time.

This whole drama appears to be a well scripted power play to pressure McCarthy to come to terms with The Trump and the Freedom Caucus agendas. It's doubtful replacing McCarthy was realisticly in the cards because McCarthy is pretty much the only Republican who can get the votes of the 80 or so House Republicans RINOs who dislike the Freedom Caucus and conservatives far more than they dislike Democrats (if they even do) .
