This article begins with the words “GOP leader Kevin McCarthy”.
I take umbrage in that. McCarthy has never been considered
a leader for anything. Surely he has his days of virtue, but like all men, he has his faults as well. Lack of leadership is but one. That TRUMP endorsed him is head scratching, but certainly not the first itch (Oz?) nor the last.
The fact Kevin moved into the speaker's office before he was
voted into that office has significance of some sort. Arrogance? Faith in Trump to see this through (keeping his end of the deal catapulting Kevin into that cushy chair)?
