wasn’t the US supplying England and eventually Russia with ammunition, oil, fuel, coal, equipment, ships…. before mustache guy declared war on US , wonder why we did that

You bet, because that's what America does. We sell stuff, especially weapons. Big ones, small ones, cheap ones, expansive ones. See Eisenhower and his Farewell address about the MIC for a primer in rogue capitalism.

So I am confused, do we sell/give(which we also did in ww2) when not directly involved or not
1940 is well before dec 11 1941?
Seems to me this conflict is very similar, we sold:donated weapons to one side and when Russia who entered into ww2 allied or at least not in conflict with the axis, and became our “ally” we did the same for them

The Russians, the Brit’s, the French… all bleed and used our weapons and supplies.
I imagine the hope was for them to handle it and keep our boys out of it
Same as now weapons, ammunition, supplies that would be used to fight the Russians are being used to fight the Russians again without our boys involved

The MIC, well that is a topic, corruption and people making money on war is as old as well……
