If Elizabeth I had really been male her father, Henry VIII wouldn’t have kept wife chopping in search of a son.

. BTW she was supposed to have been a nice looking Princess before smallpox scarred her badly c. Age 20. Hence the heavy makeup thereafter. Happily for England although the pox took her looks it did’t take her wits not her guts!

Well, the story is that she died and was replaced by a local boy who looked like her, so not Henry's child who everyone knew was a girl.

The smallpox may also have resulted in her being sterile. Wikipedia has pictures of people with smallpox. Terrible disease.
